**CAR PARKING REMINDER**

Can we please remind everyone that the 4-bay parking lot next to the soccer pavilion (in the red circle in the image below) is not designed to have 12 cars in it, it's especially not designed to have cars blocking other cars in the actual parking bays. There will be orange bunting on the orange bollard across the entrance, if you're not an AJSA or GSSA Executive Committee member, please do not move the bollard and park in there or on the footpaths next to the entrance. There's a marked loading zone next to the bins that can be used to drop off food to the canteen, but you must then park elsewhere after you drop the food off.

Second reminder, we cannot park on the verge along North Rd. Last week a car reversed into a cyclist on the footpath so we really need help getting the word out on this one. We understand that parking is a challenge and we're working closely with the City of Albany to improve parking as well as numerous other projects, but we need people to stop parking on that verge, near the emergency exit, and in the small parking lot.

In case anyone wasn't aware, the FIFA men's World Cup begins next week!! 🥳

With the expanded 48-team format we thought, what better way to celebrate it and have a bit more fun than we already do, than by having a bit of skin in the game?

So with that in mind, we've set up a sweepstake which is completely free for everyone, we will randomly allocate all 151 teams (yes that's right, there are 151 teams in the AJSA 👀) plus a team of referees to a country that is competing in the World Cup, which includes Australia 🇦🇺.

We will look at potentially having some small prizes which would be finalised by Thursday this week, otherwise it's all for a bit of fun and a chance to get the kids engaged with the biggest show on earth and a chance to teach them some more flags and geography 😂

There's nothing required to enter, every team will be allocated and we'll share the draw tomorrow or Sunday.

⚽ Message to Parents ⚽

A complaint was received last Wednesday following soccer training regarding children kicking balls against the fence at Spencer Park school oval. This has caused some disturbances to residents in the neibouring homes.

As a friendly reminder, parents are responsible for their child's behaviour while at training. Our coaches are all parent volunteers who generously give their time to coach the teams - they are not responsible for supervising general behaviour.

We kindly ask that all parents please keep an eye on their children and ensure they remain focussed on the session and show respect for the surrounding residents.

You guys are the real mvps, from making sure players arrive to the right pitch at the right times, helping with socks and shin pads, cheering in the pouring rain, bringing the fruit, managing or coaching teams or sitting on comittees to keep the sport your child loves, alive and strong in your community.
