We want to let you know that as of August 27, 2024, the Great Southern Centre for Outdoor Recreation Excellence (GSCORE), operating as Outdoors Great Southern (OGS), will be undergoing voluntary liquidation.

We are committed to collaborating with other organisations to ensure that regional value continues to be delivered.

We’re thrilled to share the highlights from our first hike in the "Over the Hill Hiking" series! 🥾✨

On Wednesday, August 14th, we embarked on a scenic journey through Mt Adelaide, meeting at the Forts for a morning filled with exploration and wellness. Our hike, lasting 1.5 hours, offered stunning views and a refreshing experience.

A special thank you to everyone who joined us for this inaugural hike – your enthusiasm and positive energy made the day truly memorable! 🙌💚 We also want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Emma Polette for leading a rejuvenating yoga and mindfulness session. 🌿🧘‍♀️ Her guidance provided a perfect balance of relaxation and rejuvenation that complemented our hike beautifully.

Mt Adelaide is not just a beautiful spot – it’s a place rich in history and natural beauty. From the Princess Royal Fortress Military Museum to the National Anzac Centre, and the serene Avenue of Honour, every corner of this Heritage Park tells a story.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the launch of "Over the Hill Hiking" on Monday, 12th August! Your enthusiasm and support made our information session and kick-off event a wonderful success. 🙌

About the Project: We are a small non-profit organisation developing a series of exclusive tourism experiences aimed at offering entertainment, historical insights, Indigenous culture, and exceptional catering to both visitors and locals.

What We Need: We are seeking a dedicated volunteer to assist us in finalising the Albany Town Walk, which is already in the advanced stages of development. Your role will be to help ensure everything is set for a successful introduction of this exciting new experience. We are seeking someone available for an immediate start for delivery of the project in late August.

What You'll Do:
Oversee the final preparations for the Albany Town Walk.
Coordinate with talent, stakeholders, and partners.
Help bring the project to its official launch.

OGS went to the event where the presentations from the🎤 speakers were inspiring and attendees were treated to a fabulous lunch and an amazing gong ceremony.

Hikers braved the cold weather🌦 for the second family hike around Lake Seppings on the weekend. It was an enjoyable, leisurely and fun walk for the group of dedicated hikers.🥾
