🏆 ALBANY VIKINGS LIFE MEMBER – PAUL “BEECKY” BEECK 🏆

A huge congratulations to Paul “Beecky” Beeck, who has been awarded Life Membership of the Albany Vikings.

Beecky becomes just the fourth Life Member in the club’s history, which says plenty about the contribution he has made over nearly 20 years.

Player, Vice President, Fines Master and Coach, Beecky has always been one of those blokes willing to put his hand up and do whatever was needed to keep the Vikings moving forward.

A very well deserved recognition of his loyalty, commitment and service to the club.

Well done Beecky, absolute Viking legend.

What a way to celebrate 40 years! 🍻

Saturday night was a brilliant end to another Vikings season and a fitting celebration of our 40th anniversary. It was great to see everyone getting into the spirit of the night, dressing for the occasion and enjoying a proper Viking feast together.

A huge thanks to Kaz and Mel for supplying the venue, and to everyone who helped transform the place into an amazing Viking hall. It looked unreal!

Special thanks also to Col and Jezz for taking care of the lamb on the spit. Safe to say no Viking went hungry! 🍖🔥

THAT’S A WRAP ON SEASON 2026! ⚔️

And what a way to finish it, a cracking weekend in Perth for the carnival, three games of footy on the day, plenty of laughs and a great way to cap off another fantastic year for the Vikings.

A massive thank you to everyone who has been part of the Vikings in 2026 — our players, families, supporters, volunteers and especially our sponsors. A club like ours doesn’t happen without people putting their hand up, getting involved and supporting us throughout the year. 🍻

We’ve had some great footy, plenty of good times and, most importantly, another year of mates getting together and enjoying what the Vikings is all about.

And a special mention to Goose (Sean Maguire), who played his last, last game in Perth. After retiring last year and making a John Farnham-style comeback for one more season, surely this time it’s official… 👀😂

Also a big thanks to Chook Productions for the carnival footage 👌

⚔️ Thanks for a ripper season, Vikings. See you all at the wind-up! 🍻

🏉 Haircut or a run? 💈😂

We’ve only got a couple of Vikings training sessions left for the year and turning up for a run might not be the only thing on the agenda. 😅

Come down, have a laugh, get a run in, and if you’re game… maybe score yourself a Pratty Cut. No guarantees you’ll like the result! 🤣✂️

2026 AFL Masters WA Southwest Carnival

After 8 years, the Albany Vikings were proud to once again host the AFL Masters WA Southwest Carnival, and what a fantastic day it was.

This year's carnival was extra special as we celebrated the Vikings' 40th year of AFL Masters in Albany. We welcomed teams, families and supporters from across the state for a day of great football, friendship and plenty of memorable moments.

Despite a few nervous looks at the weather forecast leading into the day, the rain stayed away and the carnival went ahead under clear skies. The strong winds certainly made things interesting, with one club even managing to kick a goal through the centre sticks on the next oval downwind!

Off the field, the canteen was running smoothly all day, our famous brisket rolls sold out, the carnival raffle was a huge success, and the limited-edition carnival merchandise proved very popular.

The celebrations continued into the evening with our Carnival Dinner & Party at Fitstop Stadium Railways. With just over 200 people in attendance, a great night was had by all, and the dance floor was kept busy right through until the end of the night.

A huge thank you to all the players, teams, families and friends who travelled to Albany and helped make the weekend such a success.

Most importantly, thank you to the incredible volunteers, committee members and supporters who worked tirelessly behind the scenes before, during and after the event. Carnivals like this simply don't happen without you.

We would also like to thank our generous sponsors for their support:

⭐ BIG4 Emu Beach Holiday Park
⭐ BIG4 Middleton Beach Holiday Park
⭐ T&C Supplies
⭐ Star Sales & Service
⭐ Albany Retravision
⭐ Totally Sports & Surf

Thank you all for helping us celebrate 40 years of Albany Vikings AFL Masters. We look forward to seeing everyone again at future carnivals.

This event was a great success due to the support from WA Government and Lotterywest, through the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism & Sport.
