🛼 Sunday Skate Zone – Final Session for the Term! 🛼

Join us for the last Sunday Skate Zone of the term from 9:30am–11:00am!

📅 Date: Sunday 7 June
💲 Cost: $6 per person
📍 Location: ALAC Courts
✅ Bookings: No bookings required – simply pay at the front counter on arrival.

Bring your own skates or rollerblades, or borrow a pair from us. Helmets are required, so please bring your own if you have one. We also have spare helmets available if needed.

💙 As we look back on 45 years of ALAC, it’s only fitting that we recognise some of the staff who have been part of the journey.

One face many of you will know is Graham Macaulay, better known as ‘Macca’ 👏

Graham’s first shift was back in 1985 — over 40 years ago! 😮 This was before we even had a pool, and Macca would help wherever needed: court set-ups, front desk, and anything else that was required.

Once the pool was added, Graham became Senior Pool Attendant before stepping into the role of Assistant Manager. In 1989, he left ALAC to manage the mine site pool in Leinster, north of Leonora.

Fast forward to 2016, and Macca returned to ALAC as a Duty Manager — and we’re lucky enough to still have him on the team today 🙌 What an ALAC legend! 💪

And while we’re celebrating Macca, let’s also remember his dad, Jim Macaulay ❤️ Jim was instrumental in the development of the pool and courts. In fact, you can still see Jim’s name above the old courts to this day! 👏
