PATHWAY INFO SESSIONS 📚

Pathway Coordinator, Delwyn, will be hosting a series of information sessions covering:

🔵 Victorian Pathway 8+
⚪️ Trial boats for U19 Aus Team
🔵 Rowing after school

VPP athletes will also be present to share their journeys into senior rowing, as well as some local clubs to outline their rowing programs.

BALLARAT REGATTA 📸

A number of our pathway athletes were on the water on Saturday, with the first selection races for the Victorian State Team!

Having completed further erg tests on Monday, next up on the selection schedule is racing at the NSW State Champs and the Nagambie Regatta! 🗓️

Heading into the Christmas break, now is the perfect to time to consider whether you’d like to take your rowing to the next level and represent Victoria!

Athletes in our Pathway 8+ program must be 17 or younger as at Dec 31 2023. 🗓️

Melbourne Head, beautiful day.. Men's open single is finished and school eights are getting on the water

On Saturday 12th November the VPP Pathway Athletes completed a national Time Trial over 4230m at the NWSC at Carrum. ⏱️

At the conclusion of this event the Haileybury boys were training and Joel Cain, one of the VPP athletes and an Old Haileyburian, spoke with the school rowers about his training schedule, healthy eating and overall rowing expectations.

It was wonderful to note the connection between the boys and it was a great opportunity for Joel to be part of his school shed.

PARA-SPORT DAY ⭐️

Last Sunday, State Development & Pathway Coordinator, Delwyn Oliver, headed to Geelong as part of the Paralympics Multi-Sport Day.

Thank you to Australian and Victorian Para athlete, Al Viney, who was present to assist those looking to give rowing a go! 🤩

A number of young Ballarat rowers are soaking in key rowing learnings, as well as a range of strength & conditioning and nutrition advice! 💪🏼
