Melbourne Vicentre Swimming Club Melbourne Vicentre is one of Victoria's premier swimming clubs and is located at MSAC, Aughtie Drive, Albert Park.

The Club is based at Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre,and employs a team of highly qualified and experienced coaches. Melbourne Aquatic, managed by the Club, operates Learn-to-Swim Programs from Korowa Anglican Girls School (Glen Iris)

Parents and senior swimmers received an update from our Head Coach Richard Sleight on Saturday morning after training. He outlined the Silver and Gold structure for 2027, including coach allocation and swimmer training session expectations. We are excited about how these changes will prepare our swimmers and coaches for the Age and Open Nationals in 2027.
We enjoyed our usual egg and bacon rolls with Board member James doing the honours.

Congratulations to Coach Izabel on being selected for the 2026 ASPIRE Coach Program supported by the Australian Institute of Sport and Victorian Institute of Sport. 🎉🎉🎉

ASPIRE is a national initiative supporting early-career women coaches to build the skills, confidence and networks needed to progress into high performance coaching.

From 2 to 4 October, Coach Izabel will join a small group of women coaches from a range of sports for three days of immersive learning led by some of the country's most experienced high performance coaches and leaders.

Well done to our Age, Open and HP swimmers on delivering some incredible performances at the 2026/27 Victorian Open SC Championships! Congratulations to all the medalists and finalists. A big thank you to our wonderful coaches who spent their weekend on pool deck, especially on Father's Day to support our swimmers. We appreciate you. 🫶

A huge congratulations to Lily Koch on her Australian SC Record in the girls 100m Breaststroke!

Lily delivered an outstanding performance in the G17 100m Breaststroke Final at Vic Age SC Championships, clocking 1:05:66 to have her name recorded in the history books again after setting a record for 50m Breaststroke. What an amazing achievement 👏 We couldn't be more proud. 🫶

🏊‍♀️2026/27 Vic Age SC Championships 🏊‍♂️

After two exhausting days of racing, the final day of the Championships saw our swimmers step up their games and race against some tough competitors. The energy level was high and the results matched it. You have made us proud. 🫶

It has been a very successful campaign for the club. We placed 7th in Victoria. Congratulations to all swimmers who put out their best efforts in this meet. Thank you to the coaching team for your time on the pool deck. Also, thank you to the TMs, parents volunteers and the whole MVC family. We couldn't do it without your support. MVC swimmers continue to deliver strong performances across Heats and Finals on Day 2 of the State SC Champs. Lots of PBs, Finals and Podium finishes. Lily Koch rates a special mention for setting a new Vic Age SC record in the girls 17-18 100m breaststroke. What an amazing achievement! Congratulations Lily! 🌟MVC State Cap Presentation 🌟

The club has created a new State Swim Cap in time for Vic Age. With a blue racing stripe (National is Red), this new cap will also give our Bronze squad swimmers something to work towards in their swimming journey. Today, we had a Dolphin and top Australian swimmer in Jamie Perkins who visited the club. She kindly spoke about her swimmer journey (which included training with Head Coach Richard Sleight) and then presented our State qualifiers with the new State Cap.
