South Melbourne Powerchair FC

Hi all, I'm South Melbourne coach Fid Constantinides and I will be posting content regarding the South Powerchair team. The season gone there were lots of ups and downs. We won the VPL Championship Cup with Damien Vy getting us to the final. Damien had his first ever season with us but has now joined up with his brother at Westvale.
We wish him the very best. He will have a great future in this sport.
Ethan Saravanos got our winner in the final v Melbourne City with a 1 - 0 win. It was a great team performance.
We also have Ivani who also played her first season . She's 7 years old and did very well. She is super fast and can hit the ball so well and has a massive future ahead of her I'm sure.
The rest of the team it's a joy to coach them.
For the 26 /27 season we are excited to announce that we have signed Joe Sarlo and James Marineillio from Melbourne City .
We have a new captain for our up and coming season in David MacPherson. He has vast experience and will be a great captain for us.
Craig Kilby our club president and goalkeeper will be our vice captain. Jules our winger who has now been with us for a couple of seasons also has vast experience in the sport and I'm sure he can't wait to be starting the season as do the rest of us.
Myself I also play. My preference is winger but I generally play everywhere if needed.

Following last week’s signing of Joe Sarlo, Head Coach Fid Constantinidies has continued to strengthen the squad, and we’re delighted to welcome James Mariniello to South Melbourne.

James joins us after spending the past three seasons with Melbourne City Powerchair Football Club. Having come through Powerchair Sports Victoria. His arrival reunites him with familiar faces in Joe Sarlo and Coach Fid Constantinidies as we continue building a strong and competitive team for the season ahead.

We are excited to have James on board and look forward to seeing the impact he will make both on and off the court.
