Saturday 26 Sept. We have our working bee in the morning to clean up the club ready for our Opening Day 3rd Oct.
Come down early to get the work done, then stay for a BBQ lunch and watch the Grand final (or go sailing). Bring gloves, brooms or whatever your favourite tool is.
Equally as important, if you haven't sailed for a while, get your boat out, dust it off and get ready for the summer season.

The sun is back! What a sensational day, sunshine and warm weather, all that was missing was a good breeze. It started out ok but dropped out to a float fest. Welcome to a new member Mark who nearly blitzed the field.

CitySail 2026 Wrap up.
What a weekend it was! Starting with a warm welcome from Susie, Norma and the whole CitySail team, Jarka Kluth and the amazing coaching crew, then it was into it. Theory sessions, on water coaching in challenging conditions. Lunch from the amazing Galley crew and back out again. It takes the whole club to volunteer to make the regatta happen for the women sailors. APYC is committed to developing female participation in our sport at all levels and ages and that takes time and effort.
See you next year and bring your friends. We sail all year round so come and sail at APYC. 🎖️⛵️❤️

CitySail Day 2.
As is typical for Melbourne weather, up to 60 kmh gusts yesterday, today was picture perfect. Brilliant warm sunshine and perfect breezes to put into action, all the new skills and knowledge from the coaches.

CitySail Day 1.
Some quite challenging conditions came with the sunshine this morning. A couple of strong gusts above 30 knots had the rescue boats busy for a while, so an early lunch was called.

The sun warmed and dried those who had had a dip, ready for the afternoon short course, coached races. The afternoon winds were still challenging but manageable and everyone sailed brilliantly. The coaches followed hot on the heels of the sailors, encouraging and advising on the go.

As the day went on, you could see the sailors refine their skills and evolve to another level. Incredible to watch and a credit to the sailors and coaches alike.
Well done everyone. Lighter conditions are promised for tomorrow. See you then.
