If there is only one toxic personal care product that you swap out, hands down it’s deodorant.
Almost all deodorants and anti perspirants that are considered’normal’ are made with TOXIC chemicals like aluminium, parabens, triclosan, phthalates and artificial fragrances.
Aluminium has been linked to several health issues, including hormonal imbalances, neurotoxicity and respiratory complaints. And the other ingredients have been linked with are detrimental to the reproductive, neurological, and developmental systems of human from multiple exposure pathways.
Our armpits are one of the most absorbent areas of our body, and located near key lymph nodes and vessels that drain into breast tissue. 60% of what we put onto our skin and armpits is absorbed straight into our bloodstream 😞 and most people when purchasing their deodorant don’t give any thought to the ingredients that make up deodorant let alone their harmful effects.
If you use an antiperspirant, you get the added toxicity of aluminum ❌ Aluminum is used to block your sweat glands from producing sweat. While this sounds great, sweating is a major detox pathway. So when you're blocking sweat, you're actually increasing the backup of toxins inside your body. And bacteria overload is what contributes to bad body odour.
Switching from conventional deodorants to natural and organic deodorants can be a process of trial and error. And what works for me may not work for you.
My two faves are My Majo and Noosa Basics. Black Chicken and No Pong Bi Carb Free are also great. Stay away from products that use Bi Carb soda as an ingredient. And if they do contain Bi Carb it has to be aluminium free.
Decreasing your toxic load is the key to lifelong health and wellness!

Start with:
+Walking daily even if it’s only 20mins
+Drink filtered water
+Going to bed by 10pm
+20mins of exercise daily
+Swap out processed foods for whole foods
+2mins meditation daily (just be without devices)

Health Is Not Fitness
Too many times this is confused…Being fit doesn’t mean you are healthy! They are two very different aspects of well being. One does not equate to the other. While it is possible to be healthy and not fit and vice versa, the balance of both a healthy and fit body is ultimately what we’re aiming for.
The fitness culture breeds egotism which focuses on the superficial…. Yep what we look like from the outside! AND this really pi**es me off! We become so focused on the external result (physical image) we lose sight of what’s happening on the inside or what it actually means to have a healthy body. This is why although the wellness culture is growing, we are still faced with a health epidemic. The stats prove this. As a population we are sicker than ever. We have more ailments than ever. And more and more people are functioning on low energy levels than ever.
A healthy body is energised; it doesn’t tire easily. Often, a healthy body has an energy, a vibrancy…A healthy body does not succumb to weather conditions, complain of no energy, the latest bug that is going around and a healthy body can handle more than an unhealthy body ie stress, lack of sleep etc. A healthy body can protect and prevent against the onset of diseases.
Health is made up of a number of things such as the food we eat and it’s quality, the quality of the water we drink, moving our bodies consistently, sleep, the company we keep, what we watch, what we listen to, meditating, earthing, stress management, the toxins we’re exposed to, to name a few. Exercise alone will not make you healthy. It’s a combination of all the above. And when you get this right, this is when you are living HEALTHY

Some important but simple changes you can implement NOW that will have a HUGE impact on your and your family’s health immediately ⬇️⬇️⬇️
💦 Invest in a Good quality water filter. Buying water in plastic bottles is taking your hard earned money for zero health benefits.

🧈 Ditch the seed oils - vegetable, canola, sunflower, safflower etc. Use organic butter, ghee, or tallow just like our grandparents did. Seed oils are highly toxic and damaging AF
🫙Go Plastic free where possible. Use stainless steel and glass jars and containers to store your food in. Use a glass or stainless steel water bottle. Ditch the plastic!
🍳Use non Teflon cooking pans like cast iron and ceramic. And stainless steel pots just like they use to back in the day. Throw out your non stick - They’re toxic!
🍀Eat grass fed and organic meat/poultry where possible. You don’t want to be eating grain fed meat or poultry as they contain high levels of chemicals that you then absorb.
🍓Buy as much organic produce as possible to avoid toxins & chemicals being used during the growing and harvesting process on the food you consume.
