It was a family double in the player of the year awards. With son Patrick taking out the junior player, it was Jo who went home with the senior player of the year award.

As we move to our senior teams we start with the B grade ladies. Led by James in his first year of coaching, it was wonderful to have so many new players join our club. Thank you James for the passion you showed in training and coaching this team of females of all ages. A great season by you all.

JUNIOR PLAYER OF THE YEAR.

At 15 years old, Patrick plays in our u16, u19 and men’s teams. He represented ACT in the U16 and u19 National Championships and was named in the u16 Australian Squad.

Patrick is hard working and always helping out with coaching our juniors - even though he is a baby still himself! For home games he is there early helping with diamond setups.

We are so lucky to have Patrick and his family as part of Deer Park and we are excited to see where your softball journey goes in the coming years.

Unfortunately none of our award winners could make it to presentation night so Tim posed on his own!
Thanks Tim (and Luke) for coaching this team in a difficult season due to only being 3 clubs. Too many byes meant not a lot of softball games were played.

BEST TEAM PLAYER - you really couldn’t ask for much more from your children but when their dad gets it too- you know where they learnt it from. Three of the Bergman family members went home on Saturday night with the SAME award in their respective teams. They are a true softball family and we are grateful to have them part of the Deer Park family.

Also plays u16s, u19s and women’s and helps with coaching the juniors.

PAUL - Men’s Best team player
Also helps score various teams and volunteers with the grounds and canteen.

UNDER 16s.
Our under 16s were the third team to bring home the premiership trophy this season.

Also came home with the premiership trophy this season. Led by coach Robbie, a great group of kids who all have big futures in softball ahead.

UNDER 12s.
It was another successful year for the under 12s who came home with the premiership again. We welcomed some new players to the team and they fitted in nicely with the crew and new friendships were made.
Led by coaches Noah, Will, Ethan and Markus, these boys and girls got better each week and we could see they were all having a lot of fun.
Special mention to Stacey Loveridge who helped at many trainings and games when the boys were away at Nationals- it was greatly appreciated.
