2026 Ovens & Murray AFL Grand Final sneak peak - Lavington Sports Ground.

I don't know if this is a good or bad thing but the last official AFL ground mark of the 2026 season for the O&M Grand Final. Robot and I looked after the white lines only this year and they look great.

Albury City Council turfies have done an amazing job getting the ground looking as good as it does after some very wet weekends of footy that resulted in quite a bit of wear and tear on the surface.

Some of these pics look that good they look fake but no AI enhancement or any trickery, pics straight from the drone this afternoon.

The finished product for the Hume Football League grand final on tomorrow, 19 September, 2026.

Lines, coloured arcs, 50m number outlines, WAW and Hume logo outlines and the spectator line were completed by the robot and I. The in-fills completed by the Walbundrie Sports Ground Committee.

Who can believe the local footy season is all but over. Big weekend this weekend with the Hume League & Ovens & Murray grand finals.

Big shout out to the staff and volunteers who contribute so much to the season and are typically unseen and never thought of. I see you though. I see you at the grounds in the days leading up to the games, busy preparing the grounds - on and off the field, change rooms, emptying bins, mowing the grounds and everything else that the magic fairies actually don't do.

I have been that parent that just turns up and thinks nothing of how and who prepared the venue for my kid to play sport and then quietly walks away without a care in the world and for that I apologise. I would recommend every parent puts their hand up to spend some time on a committee and give a little bit back to their club.

Anyway, here's cheers to the guys out at Rand Walbundrie Walla Giants FNC who spent a large part of yesterday and today preparing the venue for tomorrow's grand final. Thankless job really and no matter how much time and effort goes in to it, there will be someone that could have done it better or feels the need to criticise something.

Well done gents, big effort for big results and another stunning looking ground for grand final day.

Another athletics track completed today on behalf of Barooga Sports Club for Barooga Little Athletics.

Robot and I hope you enjoy your newly surveyed and incredibly accurate track for the upcoming Little Athletics season. Give those old black lines a few weeks to fade out and eventually disappear and you won't know yoursleves.

You now have a straight and square 100m sprint track, 200m, 400m and 800m staggered start lines as well as 1500m and 2000m curved start lines. To top it all off, region relays will be here before you know it so we also included relay changeover marks for you as well.

Oh, and there is a separate 70m sprint track.

Ovens & King Football Netball League 2026 Grand Final mark at Wang Rovers.

White lines courtesy of Smart R Lines. Colour and mowing courtesy of the Wang Council turfies. Colour is what is left over from last week and will be touched up tomorrow and look splendid.

Robot and I would like to wish all the Grand Finalists the very best for this weekend's grand final.
