Yes to that!

Shanghai and the whole of China deserves Yoga. There will be a Yoga teacher in every town in China. Absorbed from your great ancient wisdom Neighbor. Thank you Tony Chang. How do we measure a person’s yoga practice? What does ‘being good at yoga’ even mean?

What if it’s not how long they hold a handstand...
Or how deep their forward bend is...
Or if they can balance on one arm...
Or if they can power through 108 sun salutations without breaking a sweat...
Or how tight their ‘yoga body’ is...
Or if they can sit on their bum doing nothing for hours at a time...
Or if they can see pretty blue flashing lights above their crown....
Not even if they can manufacture bliss-states from time to time.

What if a person’s yoga practice was measured in how good a listener they become...
In a lessening of reactivity to other people’s bu****it...
In their ability to see the best in others and love it... even the most annoying people...
In their kindness...
In their capacity for sincerity...
In their naturally reduced need for stimulating pleasures that were adopted to compensate for the eclipsed pleasures of breath and being...
In their ability to say things clearly without fear of what people will think...
In their perspective on the world.

If this stuff isn’t developing naturally — not as a fake performance — then it could be that our yoga isn’t actually yoga. Awkward.

Real yoga is about clarity of mind and perception, by linking the dissociative and solipsistic brain back up with the whole body, which is already nature, the power of life.
And it does matter, not just as pedantry, because we urgently need more love and less reactivity, and more clarity and less consumerism. Thank you Rosalind Atkinson.

The yogic energy lines in our bodies explained:

“Description of Nāḍī-s (Nāḍī-prakaraṇa):
Just above the ge***al organs and below the navel, there is a lump of flesh, like the egg of a bird, called the Kanda-sthāna. 72,000 Nāḍī-s which reach all parts of the body, sprout from this junction.

Among these, ten Nāḍī-s are considered very important. They are Iḍā, Piṅgalā, Suṣumnā, Gāndhārī, Hastijihvā, Pūṣā, Yaśasvinī, Alambusā, Kuhū, and Śaṅkhinī. All other Nāḍī-s have their roots in the above ten, and hence, these ten are known as root Nāḍī-s (Mūla-nāḍī-s).

Iḍā extends up to the left nostril, while Piṅgalā reaches the right nostril. Suṣumnā runs between them, but rises all the way to the crown of the head. Gāndhārī reaches the left eye, while Hastijihvā the right eye. Pūṣā terminates in the right ear, while Yaśasvinī at the left ear. Alambusā reaches for the forehead, Kuhū to the ge***al organs and Śaṅkhinī to the Mūlādhāra-cakra.

Iḍā is also known as the Candra-nāḍī, while Piṅgalā is called the Sūrya-nāḍī. Suṣumnā is also called the Agni-nāḍī.

Iḍā and Piṅgalā extend only up to the tip of the nose, while Suṣumnā goes up to the crown “of the head.

Iḍā and Piṅgalā extend only up to the tip of the nose, while Suṣumnā goes up to the crown of the head, and is responsible for the movement of Prāṇa from the heart space (Hṛdaya).”

Heart's Mystery 06/04/2018

This Mantra stuck with with me since last weeks Kirtan.
Such simple and beautiful word and yet so meaningful and powerful.
❤️❤️❤️

When you let go of fear the truth will appear so simple and clear.

There’s a feeling inside so deep and so wide so open and free. When love is revealed all beings are healed so naturally.

When you let go of fear the truth will appear so simple and clear.

Let your light show the way forever to stay in the circle of friends.Let your heart be your guide to lead you inside where love never ends.

When you let go of fear the truth will appear so simple and clear.

And when love overflows you can only let go and be swept out to sea. This journey will end where it started my friend in the heart’s mystery.

Heart's Mystery Recorded in Pisaq, Cusco on Nov, 2009, with Diego Palma and Jarah Tree. Original song by Nick Barber. Lyrics: When you let go of fear the truth will appear so simple and clear (bis) There’s a feelin

As I Began To Love Myself – A Self Love Poem From Charlie Chaplin 18/03/2018

This morning I came across this beautiful poem again, written by Charlie Chaplin on his 70th Birthday.
What a powerful reminder to keep working on ourselves to keep the connection to our true self and our heart strong.
Not to be afraid to dig deep, to have a look around to see what's there in the course of it.
Have a great day!
