Well done Cale! ππ
When Cale started running during our Healthy Kids group I thought he was going to break the treadmill! He kept putting it faster and faster until his legs were flying! Looks where those legs have taken him! Very exciting for him to reach this marathon goal!

Today (14th of November) we are acknowledging World Diabetes Day.
Did you know research shows that exercise is crucial for individuals with diabetes, as it improves cardiorespiratory fitness, which helps insulin work more effectively.
Exercise physiologists are specially trained to understand the complexities of this condition and can help you to exercise safely with diabetes.

Sharing some of our favourite pics from this weekends swim camp in Newcastle!
"But for me as a parent, my favourite part of the day was watching the kids playing waterpolo and having so much fun. I even had a little cry as I watched [my daughter] carrying around [a younger swimmer] and encouraging him in the game too."
Friendship, Fitness, Fun- That's what it's all about!

Have you registered for the town hall next week?
They will be speaking with a great panel of young disability activists - and a certain Australian of the Year will also be making a special guest appearance!
Head below for more info:
Are you as excited as we are for next week's CPActive Town Hall??? π€©
We'll be hearing from a group of fantastic young disability advocates about their personal experiences in transitioning from school into adult life and navigating systems that were not designed to be inclusive.
And if that's not exciting enough, Australian of the Year Dylan Alcott will join us as part of his advocacy work on improving the NDIS, changing perceptions and delivering truly equitable and accessible employment for people with disabilities
Join us for an exciting live event to hear about the lived experiences, challenges and opportunities for young people with disabilities, facilitated by the next generation of community leaders! πͺ
This fully-accessible event is open to all people with disability, as well as allies, family and supporters. We look forward to seeing you there!
