Reminder that the TRV State Titles Part 1 is on May 4th-5th at MISC. Good luck to all attending!!

TRA Round 3 results have been encouraging and you should feel a sense of achievement in your chosen disciplines.

TRA Round 4 starts 6th May for events; 3 Position, 20m Prone, 20m Benchrest, 25m RBA, 50m RBA and WSPS R7/R8.

The second half starts 20th May for events; 50m Prone, 10m Air Rifle, 10m Supported Air Rifle, 50m TRA Benchrest, WSPS R1/R2/R3/R4/R5/R6/R9 and 10m Air Rifle for VI.

An amazing weekend of shooting at the Coastal Classic & Warrnambool 600!! Weather was so good, not much wind! Shooters were really competitive and achieved excellent results across the two days. New innovative robust stickers were being awarded for winners, easy to put in a shooting journal or rifle case...

April Club events...and if wanting to do the TRV State Titles Part 1 on 4-5 May, you need to submit application by April 29th.

Warrnambool SBR Club stand outs for the weekend were Janey Preston who won 8th place in the All Range Benchrest and in 90m as well and Gerry Lourey who won Bronze in C Grade in the All Range. Also Richard Bourke came second in 20m Prone Champion of Champions. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!!!

Day 2 of the TRV all range Championships began in the early morning with rays of sun bursting through the clouds. The day started with the Champion of Champions shooting Prone and Benchrest at 20m. Benchrest Champions were David Garrett for Seniors and Darcie George for Juniors, both from Traralgon Club. The Prone Champion of Champions were Ben Holko from Frankston who won Seniors and Courtney Karamoshos of Port Fairy won the Juniors. The 50m range then became the focus for the day with both Prone and Benchrest, and with the Veterans and Seniors competing alongside the Juniors. With some competitor slip ups along the way, the winners were announced. All Range Senior Champion for Prone was Ben Holko from Frankston Club; All Range Junior Champion for Prone was Courtney Karamoshos from Port Fairy Club; All Range Senior Champion for Benchrest was David Garrett from Traralgon Club and All Range Junior Champion for Benchrest was Darcie George from Traralgon Club. Thanks to all who set up the day, participated, marked, judged, moved targets, gave out medals, took photos, cleaned and helped in the kitchen...

Day 1 of the TRV State Championships arrived cloudy but no rain. The wind was waiting but not too bad! Some came to stay for the long haul, some from the regions, Melbourne and the local area. Caravans abounded! Great competitive atmosphere with squads lined up for the 20m outdoor Prone and Bench and later for the 90m in each. Amazing array of guns, sights, rests and colourful jackets came out and the serious shooting started. Chris Preston was the Range Officer for the day, a big thanks there! Many were also involved in scoring, setting up and food, a fantastic effort all round. Thanks! Some standout shooters were James Daly on 20m Prone, Benjamin Holko on 90m Prone, David Garrett on 20m Benchrest, and Darcie George on 90m Benchrest. Well done!! Looking forward to Day 2!
