I nearly didn’t post this today.

I watched it back and started picking holes in how I looked. No makeup, no preparation, just me having a moment.

Then I thought, well, it was a real moment. So let’s post it.

If you couldn’t be bothered exercising today, neither could your coach.

Today was run day and I genuinely did not want to go.

I wasn’t injured. I didn’t need a rest day. I was just having a moment and could not be bothered 😂

But then I thought, if one of my ladies said this to me, what would I tell her?

“Come on. Dig deep. Just get yourself out the door. You know you’ll feel better once you’ve done it.”

So, annoyingly, I had to take my own advice.

And yes, I did feel better.

Stupid coaches 😂

Please tell me I’m not the only one who has to give herself a talking-to sometimes.

What did you have to talk yourself into this week?

Apparently, once a woman turns 40, she should put her running shoes in the bin and head straight for the weights room.

I must have missed that memo. 😂

Just to be clear, I’m not saying every woman should run. I’m also not saying strength training isn’t important. Because it 100% is.

I do both, and finding a balance between them has taken me a long time. (Lonngggggg time)

What really grinds my gears is blanket advice being handed to every midlife woman without knowing anything about her.

Her training history. Her health. Her confidence. Her goals. Or what that particular type of movement gives her.

Running has been part of my life since I was 21. It has carried me through some incredibly hard chapters.

Strength training makes me stronger. Running makes me feel like me. Pilates, meditation and recovery have a place too.

We don’t have to pick a team.

Keep the movement you love, then look at what might be missing.

What type of movement would you be devastated to be told to give up?

Save this, share it around for all the ladies that might need to hear this

We can laugh about needing everyone to chew a little quieter. And breathe a little quieter. Preferably in another room 😂

The crying. The forgetting why you walked into the kitchen. Or forgetting your own house number. Yep, that actually happened to me.

But the bit where you start believing you’re the problem? That’s the bit that gets me.

I coach women over 40 who’ve spent years trying to get food and fitness “right”. Often while putting everyone else first.

You deserve a bit of help working out what suits you, your energy and the life you’re actually living.

Send this to the friend who’ll laugh with you, then say, “Oh my god, that’s us.” ❤️

Kay gave me 12 weeks.

She says she can’t remember telling me that. I remember it rather clearly 😂

Three and a half years later, she’s still walking through my door. And I am so glad!

At the time, 12 weeks was what she was prepared to commit, financially and personally, just to see whether something could actually feel different.

Those three and a half years haven’t been perfectly smooth. There have been injuries, operations, time away from training and plenty of life happening in between.

We’ve adjusted. We’ve started again. We’ve worked with where her body was, not where anyone thought it should be.

Six months in, the physical changes were easy to see. Kay had lost 29 centimetres and her wedding rings slipped back on.

But that was only the beginning.

The transformation that means the most can’t be measured in centimetres or captured in a before-and-after photo.

Today, Kay has 85 kilograms 3RM and completed too many PB’s to mention !She’s been on two of my retreats, and the woman who once sat alone now brings the energy to everyone around her.

Kay I would describes as strong, confident, healthy and happy.

And she’s surrounded by people she now calls friends.

What Kay probably doesn’t realise is how much of an impact she has had on me, and on everyone lucky enough to be around her.

That is the real transformation.

Kay’s advice to anyone who feels nervous about starting is simple.

Just start.

If Kay’s story feels familiar, send me the word START and I’ll tell you how my coaching works.

Tell me - does this inspire you? These real life stories inspire me to coach more and more ladies every day!

A plan can look brilliant on paper.

But if it was created before anyone understood you, what exactly was it based on?

And I think that’s the major piece so many programs are missing.

Let’s not forget the chaos that could be caused in Peri/Post menopause.

This isn’t just something I’ve just studied. I’ve lived it and breathed it since my late 30s. Consider it the practical component in the course I definitely didn’t enrol in.😳

In all seriousness I know firsthand how important it is to take your whole body and Lifestyle into Account when developing a personalise program.

Your food patterns, weight trends, stress, energy, sleep, hunger, digestion and movement all coexist.

Understanding what’s happening across the whole picture is key to building a plan that can actually work for you.

Personalised coaching isn’t just handing you a calorie target or a meal structure.

It’s working out what matters most for you, building a plan around your actual life, then seeing how your body responds and adjusting as we go.

No generic rules. No trying to squash yourself into someone else’s plan.

The coaching starts with you.

If this is what you’ve been missing, DM me YES and I’ll tell you how it works.

Every approach. Every attempt. Same ending. it was never you.

The food plan. The Fitness challenge. And this time I am actually doing it.

And every time life gets loud the plan falls apart.

The same voice kicks in “ I can’t stick to anything. Maybe it’s just me. This is just who I am”

I am speaking directly to you. That voice is lying.

The plans that you have been handed are built for someone else’s generic rules that ignored your hormones, ignored your sleep pattern patter, ignored your actual life.

You did not fail the program. All those programs have failed you.

You are most definitely not the common thread in every attempt that didn’t work.

Fragmented advice is.

How nice would it be to have one clear plan, that was built around what’s actually happening in your body right now, would change everything. Not because this plan has more rules because it’s finally made for you.

If this hits home save this video. You might need it one day.
