On World Drowning Prevention Day, we are shining a light on a global issue that is heartbreaking—but preventable.

Every year, more than 300,000 people lose their lives to drowning. That is around 30 lives every hour. Children are among those most at risk, and for families living in rural and remote communities, access to swimming lessons, water-safety education and emergency support can be much harder to reach.

At ALTS, drowning prevention is at the heart of what we do. 💙

Through water-safety education, research and advocacy, we are committed to travelling the extra distance, supporting remote communities and helping more children and families build the skills, confidence and knowledge they need to stay safer around water.

The male toilets will be closed for approximately two weeks while required plumbing maintenance is completed.

The accessible toilet and ladies’ facilities will remain open during this period.
