🌹Reframing menopause from decline to initiation.

The Woman Reframing Menopause from Decline to Initiation. I’m Shavita, author of Seven Wonders of Menopause. I help women understand menopause, perimenopause and post-menopause as a powerful return to the body, truth, wisdom and voice. Through womb wisdom, sacred feminine teachings and real-life tools, I share a new story of menopause, one rooted in remembrance, not fear.

✨ A free Womb Wisdom Guide is available through my links. The guide I wish I had when I started my journey.

This Harvest Moon, I’m asking myself what I’m grateful for and what I’m ready to stop carrying.

🕊️ Womb Wisdom with Shavita △ 💚

So many of us have spent years being the strong one, the available one, the one who holds it all together. Somewhere along the way, we forgot to ask: What do I need?

You don’t have to figure it all out alone.

Join us in this month’s Sacred Circle. It’s where we gather, share, and remember who we were before the world told us who to be.

Comment MOON and I’ll send you the invitation.

They told us that once our periods stop, our womb’s work is done.

🕊️ 🕊️ Womb Wisdom with Shavita △ 💚

That’s the lie we were told.

My body is changing, yes. But I’m still here. Still feeling. Still creating. Still learning to listen to the wisdom within me.

After 50, I’m asking different questions: What am I ready to release? What do I want to give my energy to now? Who am I when I stop living by everyone else’s expectations?

My womb doesn’t have to do what she once did to matter to me.

If this speaks to you, comment GUIDE and I’ll send you my free Womb Wisdom Guide. 🌹

Before we had words, we had a voice.

Our first cry came as we left the womb and took our first breath. I find that moment so powerful to reflect on: the journey from being held within to being heard in the world.

And yet, so many of us grow up learning to swallow what we feel. We become careful with our words. We stay quiet to keep the peace.

I wonder what changes when we begin to listen to ourselves again and allow our voices to come through?

Where in your life are you ready to be heard?

For years, I thought guilt meant I had done something wrong.

💚 🕊️ Womb Wisdom with Shavita △

But I began to notice that guilt appeared most loudly when I rested, said no, created a boundary or chose myself.

It wasn’t always my conscience speaking.

Sometimes it was the old conditioning that taught me a good woman should give until there was nothing left of her.

Menopause brought this pattern to the surface.

It asked me to stop obeying guilt and begin questioning it:

Is this feeling guiding me?

Or is it pulling me back into the old loop of overgiving, resentment and self-abandonment?

Perhaps guilt does not mean you are selfish.

Perhaps it means you are doing something unfamiliar.

You are choosing yourself and becoming the woman you were always meant to be.

If menopause is bringing old emotions and patterns to the surface for you, the Menopause Map was created to help you listen more deeply to what your body may be communicating.

Comment MAP and I’ll send you the details.

And share this with a sister who needs permission to choose herself too. 🌹

Humans and toothed whales are known to experience menopause and live for a significant time beyond reproduction.

When I learnt this, it changed the game for me.

Because what if menopause was never the end of our usefulness?

What if it was an evolutionary shift from giving life through our bodies to helping guide and protect the generations coming behind us?

Among these whales, older females carry knowledge that can help their families survive.

And perhaps we do too.

Menopause is not nature making a woman redundant.

It is an invitation to become the wisdom keeper.

The guide.

The elder.

The woman who has lived long enough to know what truly matters and no longer needs permission to share it.

Thank you, Jane, Jane Hardwicke Collings for sharing this with me. It changed the game for me. 🌹

PART TWO: I DIDN’T KNOW PERIMENOPAUSE HAD ALREADY BEGUN

💚 🕊️ Womb Wisdom with Shavita △ 🕊️

The hardest part wasn’t that my body was changing.

It was not understanding why.

I spent too long believing something was wrong with me, when my body was actually inviting me to listen differently.

Now, as a postmenopausal woman, I can look back and recognise the signs I couldn’t see then.

This is why I’m sharing everything my ten-year journey taught me so another woman doesn’t have to walk into this threshold feeling frightened, confused or alone.

Follow this series and share it with a sister who needs to hear it.

For my free Womb Wisdom Guide the guide I wish I’d had when my journey began comment GUIDE and I’ll send it to you.

Have you felt it too?

That strange feeling that something is changing beneath the surface of your life even when you cannot explain exactly what it is.

You may feel more emotional. More restless. Less able to tolerate what you once accepted. You may be craving silence, space or a life that feels more honest.

Perhaps you are not falling apart.

Perhaps you are standing at a threshold.

The equinox reminds us that light and darkness can exist together. We do not have to silence one to honour the other.

This is not about forcing another transformation.

It is about becoming quiet enough to hear what is ready to end and brave enough to stop carrying it into your next season.

Save this for your equinox ritual and share it with a woman who can feel the shift too. 🌹

PART ONE: THE MOTHER OF ALL WAKE-UP CALLS

Dr Christiane Northrup doctorofdivinebiology was the first woman who made me think differently about menopause

Her words “Menopause is the mother of all wake-up calls” opened a door for me.

Instead of seeing menopause as something to fear, fix or simply survive, I began to see it as an invitation to wake up, listen to my body and become the woman I was always meant to be.

I’ve lived it. I’ve embodied it. And now, as a postmenopausal woman, I’m going to share everything my ten-year journey taught me.

Follow along for this series and share it with a sister.

Before we ever understood language, our bodies understood rhythm.

💚 🕊️ Womb Wisdom with Shavita △ 🕊️

The rhythm of our mother’s heartbeat.
The rise and fall of her breath.
The waters that held us before the world began telling us who to be.

Perhaps this is why the journey through menopause can feel like such a deep remembering.

We are not becoming someone new.
We are returning to the woman who was always there.

If you’re ready to reconnect with the wisdom of your body, comment GUIDE and I’ll send you my free Womb Wisdom Guide the guide I wish I had when I began my own journey. 🌹

Your womb and your throat are mirrors of one another.

One holds what you feel.
The other gives voice to what you know.

Perhaps that’s why, during menopause, so many women can no longer swallow their truth, silence their needs or keep the peace at their own expense.

Your body isn’t betraying you.
She’s asking you to speak. 🔥
