Angle Vale Cricket Club’s Cricket Blast program is back this October and is a great way for young children to get involved in the game.

Aimed at boys and girls aged 5–8, the program focuses on fun, movement, basic cricket skills and building confidence in a relaxed environment.

📍 Angle Vale Cricket Club

No previous cricket experience is needed, and both new and returning participants are welcome.

With strong participation last season, initial registration numbers are capped, so families interested in joining are encouraged to secure a place early.

🏏 AVCC 2026/27 COMMITTEE & CLUB ROLES 🖤💛

Following our recent Annual General Meeting, we’re pleased to confirm a number of key positions for the 2026/27 season.

The two Executive Committee positions up for election were:

🖤 Vice President — Jon Pogas
💛 Club Secretary — Jimmy Kelly

Both were voted in to continue in their roles for the season ahead.

John Richardson was also re-appointed to the Committee for a further two-year term.

A number of other club responsibilities have also been confirmed:

A number of cricket roles are still being finalised, including Senior Training Coordinator, Junior Coordinator, Senior Captains and Junior Coaches, with further announcements to come.

The AGM also formally endorsed Aaron Meredith as our 2025/26 Life Member, while the club’s updated Constitution was approved.

Thank you to everyone who attended the AGM and to all those who continue to give their time to support the club.

🏏 JUNIOR PRE-SEASON TRAINING STARTS SOON! 🖤💛

We’re getting ready to kick off the 2026/27 junior season, with our first training session coming up:

📅 Wednesday 9 September
🕟 4:30pm – 6:00pm

For this first session, all junior age groups will train together:

🏏 Under 10s
🏏 Under 12s
🏏 Under 14s
🏏 Under 16s

Returning and new players are all welcome.

If your child is thinking about playing cricket this summer, they’re welcome to come along, meet the group and have a try before committing. No previous cricket experience is needed.

Don’t have cricket gear yet? No problem — the club will have equipment available to use at training.

We’ll also be announcing our 2026/27 junior coaching teams in the coming days, so keep an eye on the page for more information.

Pre-season is a great chance to get some work in before the season starts, catch up with the group and build towards another strong summer at Angle Vale.

As always, new and returning players are welcome.

🏏 No problem if you haven’t been to a session yet — just come along

A big thank you to everyone who has already reached out about helping with our junior teams for the 2026/27 season.

We’re still looking for coaching support across:

🏏 Under 10s
🏏 Under 12s
🏏 Under 14s
🏏 Under 16s

Our Under 10s remain our biggest priority. This is a growing age group, with many players moving into structured cricket for the first time, so having plenty of support around these squads can make a huge difference.

Importantly, you don’t need to commit to coaching a team on your own.

If you can help in any way — as a coach, co-coach, assistant or simply someone willing to support training and match days — please reach out. Teams work best when we have several people sharing the load and supporting our young players.

✅ A Working With Children Check is required and can be processed before the season if you don’t already hold one.
