There’s a lot of work that goes into representing Australia on the world stage.

Massive congratulations to Melissa Lewis for n her efforts and achievements at the recent World Masters Championships in Daegu South Korea

Not only is Melissa a Masters athlete, she coaches her own squad in race walking, is mum to her 2 girls and also works full time and volunteers on levels unheard of by normal people.

A fantastic result on the world stage for local athlete Melissa Lewis, who recently represented Australia at the 2026 World Masters Athletics Championships in Daegu, South Korea.

The championships brought together athletes from 106 countries for 13 days of competition across track and field and road events.

Competing in the W35 race walking events, Melissa returned home with two World Championship silver medals – finishing second in both the 5,000m track race walk, in a time of 28:19.20, and the 20km road race walk, in 2:06:02.

An outstanding achievement and a wonderful result for Melissa, Australia and our local community.

Congratulations Melissa! 🥈🥈

Keep On Running - Subiaco is our go to place for athletics specific shoes.

Check out this great special for an entry level combo set of spikes.

For all of our returning and new members, if you want great advice and a great deal on waffles, spikes and everything else, Bruce and the team are the ones to speak to!

Athletics season is well and truely here. Along with our great range of waffles and spikes, we have this great deal for first timers into spikes (U/11's). It is suitable for all events excluding circular throws. It would also be a great training shoe to help keep the race shoe in great condition.
