I really enjoyed judging the students. Well done to all of you.

On Friday, Old Girls Joanne Knight, Emillie Reynolds and OGU Vice-President Peta Taylor, returned to campus as guest judges for the 2025 Guild Drama. 🎭✨

The afternoon was alive with energy, creativity and plenty of nostalgia as students delivered outstanding performances. Every house brought something unique to the stage, making the judging process very challenging.

👏 Congratulations to Wilkie for claiming the top spot this year! A huge round of applause goes to all participants for their dedication and talent. You made it a truly memorable event.

We are grateful to PLC Armidale for welcoming us back. It was a joy to reconnect, celebrate the arts and share in the spirit of Guild Drama once again. 💫

ON THIS DAY

On July 18th, 1920, Phillip J. S. Richardson, (top left) then editor of the Dancing Times magazine, organised a dinner for eminent dance professionals at the former Trocadero Restaurant in Piccadilly. The diners included five special guests, representing the principal methods of ballet raining in use at that time.

The result of this dinner was the formation of the Association of Teachers of Operatic Dancing of Great Britain, with Adeline Genée as its first Presidant. The association became The Royal Academy of Dancing in 1936 after being granted a Royal Charter by King George V.

Once a dancer, always a dancer....Heidi Knight trained in Armidale for 10 years and now lives in Melbourne. Heidi and sister Nadia have attended our adult classes when visiting Armidale.
