UNE 12 Hours In The Piney

WEMBO World Solo 24 Mountain Bike Championships is replacing the UNE 12 Hour in the Piney in Armidale for 2023 and entries are now open.
Looking forward to lots of solo riders in a World Champ event on Australian soil come November.

Following a challenging and wet couple of years we are disappointed to having to announce the cancellation of the 2022 UNE Life 12 Hours In The Piney which was to be run on Saturday 5 November at SportUNE Mtb Trails

With the continued wet weather we will not be able to confidently prepare a suitably long course that will not be further damaged by the existing and expected continued wet weather.

We are therefore cancelling the event and now focus on preparing for the hosting the 2023 WEMBO 24 hour World Championships in conjunction with the AusCycling National Championships over the 3 & 4 Nov 2023.

NEMTB will be organising all existing entries into the 2022 UNE Life 12 Hours in the Piney to be refunded which is expected to take about 4 weeks.

We look forward to 2023 and drier tracks. See you then.

POSTPONED: Tentative new date of Saturday, November 5

It is with great regret have made the decision to postpone this weekend's (Sat April 2) event. The constant rain, with more forecast, has left trails saturated including the event centre. The weather forecast indicates there is more rain on the way leaving the trails no chance of drying to a rideable state by Saturday.

We have a tentative date of Nov 5 for the rescheduled race and entries will be rolled over once the new date is locked in. If, however, a refund is preferred these will be processed from next week.

We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge our, as well as your, disappointment. The weather has trumped us. We would like to take this chance to thank everyone involved, all the competitors and supporters of the event, and especially our volunteers and sponsors who have worked tirelessly to get so close.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the rescheduled race in Spring.

Due to a technical glitch, we’ve extended the early bird entries for the UNE Life 12 Hours In The Piney.

The glitch has been resolved & early bird entries will close on Sunday 27 March at midnight (12am).

Home The format will be a simple 12 hour race for solo, pairs or teams around the EXTENDED SportUNE trails! Almost half the trail will be brand new DirtArt constructed single track and the grass sections are gone!
