** meet Sunny ☀️ **
This beautiful soul is teaching Hatha Yoga at Yoga Farm every Thursday night at 7pm.
Hatha Yoga is a slow paced, classic style of yoga that combines movement with conscious breathing. There is a focus on alignment, there are static poses, balance poses, a bit of flow, a bit of meditation and it’s a wonderful practice for students to combine yin & yang.
Sunny is passionate about sharing her love of Hatha so she is offering students a free trial class.

Support your body to cleanse and heal ❤
Using yoga for menstrual cramps is an effective pain-relief strategy🌸
First, think about the areas of your body that typically experience pain from cramping—your belly, pelvis, hips, and lower back. These areas can be targeted for pain relief through certain yoga poses.
Additionally, the emotional symptoms of PMS and menstruation can also be reduced by yoga, so it can do more than only treat period pain, the poses will also help you to calm your mind and to connect with those emotions.
However, some yoga positions are so effective at relieving menstrual pain that once you attempt them, they will probably become a part of your regular self care routine during those times❤
If you feel you’ve lacked self care routines in general and you would like to bring more focus onto your health and happiness, join me in my yoga classes online, or at the “Armstrong Creek East Community Hub”.
Please contact me by clicking on the "send message" button at the top of the page and bring positive changes into your life.
Give yourself some “Me-time”, we all need it, that’s for sure 🤗
Try these poses at home:
I. Forward folding/Sitting/Reckoned Bound Angle Pose - let you knees drop to the side, place some pillows underneath if the stretch feels too intense. in your lower back which can be affected by the cramps as well. Stay in this posture for a few minutes and relax your pelvis.
II. Tummy breathing - Breath gently into your lower tummy down into your pelvis to massage the uterus area and to increase the blood circulation which eases the cramps. To intensify the movement inhale, build a bridge with your lower back and draw the tailbone towards the ground. Exhale, pull your belly button gently in and draw your tailbone towards the ceiling.
III. Supine Twist - drop your knees to one or the other side, look over the opposite shoulder while keeping the shoulder close to the ground. Place a pillow under your knees when the twist feels too intense. Stay here for a few deep breath, switch the side.
IV. (Wide legged) Child Pose - open your knees, big toes are touching. Lengthening your arms and lower down your forehead on the floor, you might use a pillow for more comfort. For less intensity close the legs and place your arms aside your body, let head and shoulders sink towards the ground. Stay for a few deep breath as long it feels comfortable.

Excuse me Mum, have you been putting everyone else before yourself? 🤔
Do you forget to make time for yourself? Placing your health at the bottom of the to do list and before you know it you feel totally exhausted or even become unwell which causes more struggle.
It’s easy to forget about you when you have so many people to worry about, this is true. But what about you? How can you have your best life and still be the rock you have been for your loved ones for so long?
My classes give you the opportunity to say "YES!" to yourself, "YES!" to health (mentally and physically), "YES!" to being an energetic and inspiring mum and partner but MOST of all “YES!” to being a strong woman and best version of yourself!
I think we agree having a healthy, strong and tension free body makes life much more enjoyable.
Balance in your body will bring balance into your life 💁🏼♀️
If you feel you’ve lacked self care routines and that life is a little out of balance please contact me by clicking on the "send message" button at the top of the page and together we’ll create a path of self development
and positive life changes 😊

"The continuous demands of parenthood can leave little room for acknowledging and fully releasing emotions. The end result can be unexplainable back aches, headaches, or an excessive reaction to a child’s minor misbehaviour. The good news for mums is, yoga has been shown to help release built up tension in the body as well as provide other health benefits including:
- Alleviating back and neck pain
- Helping you get a good nights sleep
- Toning and stretching your body
- Helping reduce blood pressure levels
- Boosting your immunity
- Increasing brain function
There have been numerous studies commissioned to prove the benefits Yoga can provide to your body. As an example, six recent studies with over 570 patients showed that yoga is an effective means for reducing or controlling both back and neck pain. On top of this, a study of elderly female yoga practitioners showed that Yoga, which requires attentional engagement, brought about positive changes in brain structure and function, especially in areas related to awareness, attention, executive functions and memory."
