In celebration of the Barwon Female Festival of Sport, we're proud to showcase some of the incredible female athletes within our club each night across both football and netball.
Today, we're shining the spotlight on our talented Sharks Academy players 🦈💙
A huge congratulations to Scarlett, Billie Jean, Willow, Taylah and Lux for their commitment, hard work and dedication to their development. These young athletes continue to embrace every opportunity to learn, grow and lead, and we're excited to see what they achieve throughout the Academy program and beyond.

The opening session provided participants with an overview of what to expect throughout the next six weeks, explored the key traits and attributes of the modern AFL player, and featured a guest presentation from Geelong Falcons Talent Lead, Jesse Drever, who shared valuable insights into the talent pathway and player development.

This year, Read the Play celebrates 20 years of empowering young people through proactive mental health education, and clubs across the region are invited to be part of this significant milestone.

The Geelong Cats have been a proud supporter of Read the Play, helping extend its reach and impact throughout our community. To commemorate the occasion, the Geelong Cats have generously donated a guernsey with an ACFNC logo, signed by the entire 2026 playing group, which is now being auctioned to raise funds for Read the Play.
