The future is female, and so is this camp! Monster () has been long-running supporters of girls in action sports, and we want to continue to show support through a camp for the female shredders. Our Girls Skate Camp is special this term as we have two guest coaches: Poppy Starr Olsen and Una Farrar. Poppy Starr Olsen is a former female skateboard world champion in her age group in 2014 (over 14) and 2015 (over 15). She won the professional division of the Vans Combi Classic in 2016, and is the first Australian female to compete in the Summer X Games (in 2016). She qualified for and competed in the 2017 Summer X Games taking out a bronze medal in Women's skateboard park. Hailing from Canada, Una Farrar is a crazy street shredder who is more than happy to skate anything in her path. The young up-and-comer is driven by an appreciation for new experiences and a creative eye and never lets a slam end a session. Her latest full part in Vans’ full-length, all-women’s film, Credits, spotlights the depth of her talent, while marking a major milestone for the women’s skateboarding community. These amazing coaches will lead camp shredders on a full day of fun, encouragement and learning for girl skaters of all ability levels. Monster’s School Holiday camp programs cater to action sports enthusiasts of all skill levels from beginners to advanced. Our instructors aim to work with each rider on an individual basis within a group environment and aim to help campers progress and have fun through games and activities. 🙌
