It was always going to be tough and tough it was. Men’s A just didn’t click in the field against a very well drilled Seagulls, and despite moment of hope they fell short. Masters 2 were outgunned while D grade came within a whisker down to the last ball. All three teams will have another chance to make the Grand Final next week at Ashmore.

In all, 7 Cyclones teams will play Preliminary Finals at home in what will be a blockbuster of an evening.

MAJOR LEAGUE MAJOR SEMI FINALS

We knew tonight wouldn’t be easy taking on 6 Minor Premiers, but Ladies B are the first Cyclones team straight through to the Grand Final in a crushing win over the Strathpine Burras, well done girls. Masters 3 went down by two runs in a nailbiter, while Men’s B fought back late but it was all over. The two defeated sides will get another chance next Saturday in the Preliminary Finals to be played at home at Ashmore.

The centre took on an international flavour today with 24 students from Japan getting their first taste of indoor cricket with Qld 22’s & Cyclones Men’s A representative Noah Latimer leading the way.

Certainly a lot of fun learning new skills and taking on a game for the first time.

The final two teams couldn’t quite get over the line with both going down in very tight score lines and the games in the balance to the final ball. Unlucky gentleman, a good season nevertheless.

Major League Indoor Cricket Minor Semi Finals (3 v 4) @ Wynnum tonight.

Five Cyclones teams compete in the do or die semi-Finals for the right to play the Preliminary Finals in 2 weeks time at home at Ashmore.

Three teams in the first time slot and 2 wins recorded. Ladies A did a great job accounting for Strathpine Burras who last week recorded a win against the previously undefeated Minor Premiers Wynnum Seagulls. Awesome job ladies.

Colts (U19’s) also recoded a win keeping them alive defeating a very competitive Ipswich Suns.

55’s finished their season bowing out to the Burras.
