What a way to wrap up the footy season! 🙌

Over the weekend, our AJRL crew hit the road and headed north to Cooktown for an awesome weekend of footy, fun and plenty of laughs 🏈🐔

The weather gods certainly kept us guessing — one minute drizzle, the next sunshine, then winds strong enough to nearly blow our littlest Roosters off the field! 🌦️💨🐓😂 But nothing was stopping our kids from getting out there, playing some awesome footy and having an absolute ball!

A massive THANK YOU to Cooktown District Junior Rugby League Club for hosting us and making our Roosters feel so welcome ❤️💙

Great footy, great people and plenty of memories made — the perfect way to finish the season! 🏈🐔

Yesterday, we were incredibly proud to recognise Bob Watson with Life Membership of Atherton Junior Rugby League 👏

For an extraordinary 40 years, Bob has given his time, generosity, hard work and unwavering support to our club. From coaching our juniors and becoming one of our longest-standing sponsors, to helping improve our grounds and facilities — and still quietly mowing the fields before game day — Bob’s contribution can be seen and felt throughout our club 🐔

Bob is the true definition of community spirit. No fuss, no recognition needed — simply seeing what needs to be done and getting it done!!

40 years of service. 40 years of generosity. 40 years of helping make AJRL what it is today 🐔

Bob, thank you for everything you have given, and continue to give, to the Roosters. Your legacy will forever be part of our club!!

What a beautiful afternoon celebrating our littlest Roosters! ❤️💙🐓

Our U6–U12 Presentation Afternoon was the perfect way to wrap up another fantastic season — full of smiles, laughs, awards and plenty of proud moments 🏈🏆

A huge congratulations to every one of our young players. We’ve loved watching you grow in confidence, build friendships, learn new skills and, most importantly, have fun playing the game we all love.

A massive thank you to our coaches, managers, volunteers, parents and families who give their time and support throughout the season. Junior footy simply wouldn’t happen without you 👏

To our little Roosters — keep playing, keep smiling, keep making memories and keep loving your footy. We are so proud of every single one of you 🐔
