OSCAR HARO: “MARC MARQUEZ KNOWS HOW TO HANDLE PRESSURE — APRILIA DOESN’T”
Óscar Haro, former LCR Honda sporting director, has shared his thoughts on the intense 2026 MotoGP title battle following the Indonesian Grand Prix. He believes Marc Márquez has a major advantage when it comes to managing pressure, while Aprilia’s growing expectations could be affecting its riders at a crucial stage of the championship.
OSCAR HARO'S ANALYSIS
“Bezzecchi has made mistakes because of the pressure. He is facing enormous media pressure — something Marc knows how to manage, but Aprilia has not.”
Haro believes Aprilia began feeling the pressure of fighting for the world championship after its success against Ducati at Mugello. According to him, those expectations have also affected the riders, particularly Jorge Martín, who has experienced the difficulties of leading the championship.
He also praised Márquez for continuing to fight despite having limited information compared with Aprilia’s four competitive riders. While the Aprilia riders can share data and technical feedback, Marc often has to work alone within the Ducati camp.
With Jorge Martín leading Marc Márquez by just two points after Mandalika, Haro believes pressure management could become a decisive factor in the final races of the season.
Can Marc Márquez use his experience to turn the championship around?
