The new Electra encapsulates exactly the sentiment that Bob mcTavish states so clearly in this concise documentary by Tony Roberts TR Productions Bob’s last comment in the clip is so key to what i’ve been after since the first Banana in 1992. Bob: “and a choice of lines when you come out of the turn”

The redo of the 1986 concave, my very first full concave …AND! the one layer carbon quad’s that just arrived and they are all sold out with two batches on order. Not far off. thin, low drag fins with medium flex. Not rigid like G 10 but not as wild as my standard quads.

Webber boards now to be constructed at Lost/Basham‘s in LA. Any model, and just contact me through whatever means and we go back-and-forth until we have a totally sorted and then manufactured to perfection through those guys. Saves the F around and cost of shipping and you can be sure they will do an incredible job.

New one layer carbon quads arriving in a few days, sorry that half the batch have already been sold but there’s still a few left. i’ve put in another order already. Allows for a thin refined fin, but now with a little bit less flex than my usual glass fins. (A little E glass over the carbon for some leeway with the manufacturing) $200 plus post.

One layer carbon quads will be here in a few days, sadly half of the sets are already sold but there will be a few left and I’ll just have to order some more. That’s how effing good they go. First batch I made by hand and a very good surfer tested them out on a brand-new board that I had just made him, and I can’t post the photograph of the first cutback he did, but if you’re interested, I can send it to you privately (so long as you don’t post it!) and for those fin-aware surfers or manufacturers there is some E glass below the carbon so that it would not get damaged during the finishing process.

510 x 17 ½ x 4” with a one inch concave. Banana rocker, but as thick as a loaf of bread! So we will call it the Banana Bread experiment. I’m going to lend it to HB who actually messaged me yday asking if I had any ideas on how we could make a board to do a carve 360 as per Shane Herring‘s request after he beat Kelly at Narrabeen in ‘92. Shane said that he knew that he was not as good as Kelly and wanted to do something that has never been done before. “I want to do a carve 360 in the tube.” Hopefully the thickness and the massive lift from the concave will allow the board to go further out into the flat face of the wave so that the board will have the room to go to 12 o’clock before you get to the top third of the wave. How exciting if a carve 360 could be done without actually hitting the lip.

A belly board for us old guys that no doubt will find its way under the feet of young guys who will somehow ride this as though it is normal. 4 foot something, 22 inches, by 4 inches over 40 L. This one for my landlord Pete, who’s just had both knees done so this is a little bit of inspiration to get him back out there.

some reason I’m not receiving the requests even though i get the notice that someone has wanted to contact me, so if you don’t get a reply, please just email me at [email protected]

A double concave Banana and an Electra New, for Beau Edwards. Just tried to post this and none of the videos loaded so hopefully this time it works. Check the pic of Beau down on the South coast doing a massive gouge. I took a screenshot of the text so the dimensions are the last image.
