🏆🏆 HISTORY MADE — OUR GIRLS SECURE THE DOUBLE! 🏆🏆

What an extraordinary season for our Burdekin FC 12/13 Youth Girls!

In their very first youth season, these incredible girls finished undefeated in the regular season, claimed the Minor Premiership and fought their way to become Grand Final Champions—securing an unforgettable double! 🩷🖤⚽️

Their victory also marks a very special moment in our club’s history, as they become the first Burdekin FC youth girls team to win a Grand Final and the Minor Premiership.

This achievement is a wonderful celebration of female football and a powerful reminder of what is possible when girls are given the opportunity, support and confidence to compete, grow and belong.

An acknowledgment must go to Coach Sian Reardon whose dedication, belief and love for these girls guided them through an incredible season, and to team managers Cecilla and Rowan McDowell for their commitment, support and everything they contributed behind the scenes.

Most importantly, congratulations to every one of our girls. You played with courage, determination and heart, supported one another through every challenge and created history together.

📅 Nominations close next Saturday 26th September, so don’t miss out!

ALL PLAYERS MUST REGISTER IN SQUADI 📲

Due to recent changes from Football Queensland, all players are now required to pay their registration fee through Squadi. Burdekin FC has subsidised this fee for our Social Soccer players, so please make sure you use the discount code provided when completing your Squadi registration as refunds can not be provided.

If you haven’t played soccer this year, you will also need to register through PlayFootball.

🏆 What a season for our Young Panthers!

On Sunday, we celebrated the end of the season for our youth teams — our U12/13 Girls, U13 FQPL and U15 Division 1 teams.

A huge congratulations to our U12/13 Girls and U15 Division 1, who both finished the season as Minor Premiers! 🏆👏

And an extra special congratulations to our U12/13 Girls, who backed it up with a fantastic Grand Final win over Ingham Saturday! 🥇🎉 What an incredible achievement!

A massive thank you to all of our coaches and managers for volunteering your time, commitment and passion throughout the season. Your contribution makes such a difference to our players and our club.

To all of our players — well done! We are incredibly proud of everything you have achieved this season, both on and off the field. ⚽️👏

Enjoy the celebrations, Young Panthers! We can’t wait to see you all back in 2027 for another big season!

🏆🔥 COLTS — 2026 GRAND FINAL CHAMPIONS! 🔥🏆

What a finish. What a fight. What a team!

Our Astute Ayr Colts were pushed all the way in last night’s Grand Final, but they refused to let their dream slip away.

With Burdekin trailing as the clock ran down, Jhett Jones delivered an incredible equaliser in the 89th minute, keeping the dream alive and sending the two sides into extra time! ⚽️💥

Still unable to be separated, the championship came down to the ultimate test of nerve—a penalty shootout.

Under enormous pressure, our boys held their composure, fought until the very end and emerged as the 2026 Grand Final winners! 🏆

A massive congratulations to every player, along with coaches Matt and Jack and manager Ricky, whose commitment, guidance and belief helped lead this team to an unforgettable UNDEFEATED Minor Premiership and Grand Final double.

You made the entire Burdekin FC family proud!
