🏃‍♀️ Get Active Kids Voucher Program – Round 11 is now open! 🏀

Eligible Victorian families can access up to $200 per child to help cover the cost of sport and active recreation, including eligible fees, uniforms and equipment.

Key dates:

Applications close 10am, 13 October 2026, or earlier if funding is exhausted.
Vouchers are valid until 27 April 2027.
Reimbursements may be available for eligible costs incurred from 1 May 2026 to the date of application.

This is the only funding round available before June 2027, so families are encouraged to apply early.

📣 Little Legends Sports Camp is coming to Bacchus Marsh Leisure Centre!

🏊 Join our Outdoor Pools team this summer!

Moorabool Shire Council is recruiting Lifeguards and Duty Supervisors for the 2026/27 Outdoor Pool Season at our Bacchus Marsh and Ballan Outdoor Pools.

We’re looking for local residents who want to take a proactive role in keeping our community safe, welcoming and active this summer.

To work as a Lifeguard, applicants will need to hold the required qualifications, including:
* Pool Lifeguard Certificate
* Current CPR
* Current First Aid
* Working with Children Check

Duty Supervisor applicants will also need to meet the relevant position requirements outlined in the advertised role.

These are great seasonal opportunities for people who enjoy working with the community, take safety seriously and want to be part of a positive team environment across Moorabool’s outdoor pools.

📣 New Seniors Exercise Classes – Starting Tuesday 18 August

We’re adding two new Seniors Exercise classes at the Bacchus Marsh Leisure Centre!

🗓 Tuesdays & Thursdays
🕚 11:15am
⏱ 45 minutes
👤 Instructor: Jamie

To support participant safety and service quality, all Seniors Exercise classes will be capped at 24 participants from Tuesday 18 August.

If the earlier class is busy, we encourage participants to attend the new 11:15am session where possible. If demand continues to exceed available places, we may need to introduce a booking system.

Thanks for helping us keep classes safe, enjoyable and accessible for everyone.

💜 Loneliness Awareness Week at MARC Stadium 💜
Loneliness is common and can affect anyone. In fact, approximately 1 in 3 Australians experience loneliness at some stage of their lives.

To help bring our community together, we're offering a FREE Pickleball session for first-time players, followed by a FREE morning tea on Wednesday 5 August.
This is a great opportunity to try something new, meet new people, and make meaningful connections in a welcoming and supportive environment.
