So tragic 💔
We extend our condolences to the family and friends of float driver Peter Butler, along with his colleagues at South West Transport, on his tragic passing.
Our thoughts are also with the Payne stable, their owners and stable staff who cared greatly for the horses lost and injured in yesterday’s accident.

Foal Focus: 'We fell in love with this mare' First-time breeder Luke Barker took us through the emotions of his first foal, a Hitotsu filly born at Taghadoe Stud. She is the first foal of Hanaady, who Barker part-owned as a race mare.

News: Miss Roumbini Storms to Victory in Fillies & Mares
A roller-coaster week on the Gold Coast culminated with a satisfying win for Victorian horseman Mick Price (Price Kent Racing), whose emerging filly Miss Roumbini landed the rich prize in Friday night’s $1 million TAB Magic Millions Fillies and Mares.
Price, with co-trainer Michael Kent Jnr, was involved in the purchase of 16 yearlings in Book 1 of the 2025 Magic Millions Yearling Sale but was then forced to watch on as his exciting c**t Space Rider twice missed a start as first emergency in the $3 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic – once last Saturday before the race meeting was called off and then again on Friday night’s rescheduled program under lights.
