⭐️ Update on Charlie ⭐️

Charlie suffers from pedal osteitis, with significant remodelling to the distal border of the pedal bone. After taking Charlie back on, in January, I decided to “shoe” him using EasyCare Roller Motion EasyShoes.

He has since come on leaps and bounds, showing huge improvements in both his comfort and overall hoof morphology. He’s now ‘sound’ and back in work! 🙌

We’ve still got a long road ahead, but I’m really pleased with the progress he’s made so far — and so is his owner!

Hardwork paid off as they dropped on a treat!

🥶 Not the best weather for glueing shoes on at MINUS 6! this morning, but these ‘Easyshoe Roller’ shoes went on a treat for Charlie, who unfortunately has a bad case of chronic Pedal osteitis, with signifcant remodeling to the distal boarder of his pedal bone, along with poor forelimb confirmation, ive opted to use these shoe, for multiple of reasons,
lightweight, glued on to remove the need to nail and causing unnessary trauma, greatly reduce concussion thanks to the composite materials ability to absorb some of the impact.
The ‘barshoe’ style platform offers stablilty to his hoof capsule, without any direct frog or sole pressure which he doesnt like, due to the previous pathologys mentioned.

✨Charlie has already shown a vast improvement in soundness and hoof morphology 👌

Unfortunately Murphy has some Arthritic changes to his coffin joints, along with bi-lateral Sidebone formations, so I’ve made him some reverse concave inverted barshoes, with an additional variation of a rolled toe, to help stablise the hoof capsule while allowing ease of enrollment through his stride

After running my own successful sole and multi farrier business in the uk for 13 years, myself and my family made the big move to Australia, were i spent the last 18 months shoeing/plating/managing the equine hoof care for some of the biggest names in racing.
Unfortunately Australia just wasnt for us, so we are back, and im now looking to start again offering my farriery services, with years of experience in the uk where i previously took on a high number or ‘remedial’ case’s, winning multiple best shod awards, and then enhancing my skills and knowledge further with my time in Australia.

I will now be available to book appointments, and commencing from November 3rd.

I have been offered the opportunity of a life time, and have had my visa approval at 6am this morning.
