The Airport club is open for billiards practice tonight! (Sunday).

The 2026 Snooker season Grand Final between Wingnuts and Occatoos was played at the Airport on July 2nd. Congratulations to the Occatoos defeating Wingnuts 7-3. The Wingnuts were favourites only losing 2 games for the season and defeating Occatoos in the previous 2 games, but Rohan who led by example took his team of three new players all the way over the experienced Wingnuts. A fantastic effort. Commisserations to Wingnuts who had a very strong season and finished on top by a good margin, with Doug winning the most frames for the season and 3 of their players finishing in the top 10 for the most frames won.

The 2026 Ballarat Billiards Open Championship has been another great success for the association. Congratulations to the winner John Schenck defeating Steve Mifsud in a great final. John started strongly with an early break of 110 and a few smaller ones to lead Steve by nearly 200 before Steve challenged at the end with a 100+ break to get close but John held his nerve to hold on. Well done and thank you to all those that helped over the weekend and to all those that entered and supported the event. It was a great atmosphere for the final with over 30 people watching. Next year will be even better. Long live Billiards!

2026 Snooker Championship Final.

Congratulations to Ron Callender winning this year's championship in a marathon of 4 3/4 hours defeating David Palmer 4 games to 3. Both players played had moments of superb potting but also chose to play with a lot of caution, taking no risks. The final game Ron grabbed an early lead then upped his safe play to an extreme, giving David no real opportunities. Thanks to Ankush Rana and Greg Allison for doing an excellent job with the refereeing.
