Sydney Marathon '24 - 3:17 ⌚️
Came back from holidays and ran this with basically no training. I did 2 16k runs in the 3 weeks before it and that was my training block 😂
Last 10k of the run was agony and couldn't walk for 3 days after it. I even had to take 2 days off work 😂
I would not recommend it but on the other side I really did enoy it. No expectations just running.
Just shows you should always go for it. You wont always get a PB but you can still enjoy the day.

Very enjoyable week this week.
Got 2 ocean swims in and feeling good in the water now. Last years injuries might be a blessing in disguise as it gave me time to work on swim technique and conditioning.
Body feels strong running and cycling. Focusing a lot on HR rather the specific pacing during runs and its helping slow me down and keep the niggles away. The speed will come.
Getting into bigger weeks now soon. Looking forward to pushing on for the next few months.
Goal is to keep progressing and make it to all the start lines fresh this year.

A decrease in volume this week due to going on night shift and being a bit run down but will treat it as a recovery week and get back into it next week.
1hr 50 run Sunday and the legs feel good. No niggles or drops in energy.
Swimming and bike took the biggest hit this week.
Body overall still feels great and looking forward to the events this year.
June 21st Parramatta half marathon
July 5th Hyrox Sydney
July 25th 100k trail run
August 9th City2Surf
November 8th Melbourne 70.3
Big year planned 🏆

This weeks training had plenty of 3:15am starts and plenty cans of zero sugar white monster to keep me going.
Trying to manage 12hr work days, a 7 month old, and training is hard but still enjoying the training which is half the battle. Tired but content.
Building back up the running.
Swimming still s**t.
Bike taking a backseat for the moment.
Enjoying being back into a routine again. Been a while since I had a solid week and just over 1 year since my last event which was a sprint triathlon.
Looking forward to the year ahead. Especially under the guidance of new coach
Nike Vomero Plus are a treat to run in.
