Waverley Rugby Alumni Lunch”
It would be great to see you for the “35th Anniversary” of the 1988 Taki Toa Winners, and Kentwell Cup “Minor Premiers” & “Grand Finalists” - to be held at the Eardley-Sarson lunch on Saturday week, 9 March 2024 (11.30am for 12noon kick off) – which is now only 13 days away.
We are arranging for each of you to be presented with a 35th Anniversary Memento.
After the presentation of mementoes, a photo will be taken of the squad – 35 years on!
Greg Schell has booked and is flying down from Qld for the reunion!
Also, Russell Mohi has arranged for the Taki Toa Shield to be there.
And whilst the 1988 Kentwell Cup “Minor Premiers” & “Grand Finalists” may not have won the cup, the period was a turning point for the Club - such that the strength and success of Waverley from the mid-1980s to mid-1990s, resulted not only in numerous premierships, but, also, played an integral part in the ultitmate success of the Club runners-up in 87-88 in the Club Championship and winning it in 1989-90-91-92.
Whereas many clubs of that era have folded, Waverley has endured – with arguably, still the best social life in Subbies, and one of the leading clubs in Kentwell Cup – having been Club Champions in 2022, finalists in Kentwell in 2022-23, played in 8 of the 12 GFs in the past 2 seasons and won premierships in: 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, and U21s. Hopefully, Kentwell this season.
SIMILARLY – we are also arranging for the 35th & 25th Anniversaries of the 1988 and 1998 Judd Cup “PREMIERS” of which you were part.
AND BEAVER HAS BOOKED AND IS FLYING DOWN FOR THE 1998 REUNION!
It would be great if you can make it, as the next reunion for the 1988 & 1998 teams will not be until 2029 and who knows where everyone will be then!

Please note: The design of the room on trybooking, will NOT be how the tables in the room will be set out on the day - it is just for the trybooking system to easily allocate table seating.
WE WILL MAKE SURE THAT THE TABLES OF THE VARIOUS DECADES ARE GROUPED TOGETHER AND ALL ARE IN LINE WITH A VIEW TO THE STAGE.
