A shift this week.

My right hand is back and things move differently when you’re not carrying it all alone.

Stepped out of the studio, worked from a couple of our spots and had space to think properly again.

Not more hours.
Better leverage.

The kind that builds something beyond you.

Yes, payroll grows.
But so does capacity, output and direction.

That’s the trade.

Now we’re focused on expanding our wholesale footprint across tea and matcha. Let’s go!!

There has been a shift towards finding that perfect way to move our bodies as we found ourselves in and out of lockdowns, and exploring different ways to feel good and improve our health especially our mental health. Some of us once were gym junkies, now loving our virtual Pilates class where we can simply roll out of bed straight onto the mat at 6am, or maybe switching the yoga studio for longer walks in the sunshine and fresh air. Or maybe your needs have changed moving into a new life stage and running 10kms everyday no longer serves your joints, and more weight bearing exercise does?

Everything happens for a reason right? Whatever movement we gravitated towards, our exercise habits have changed and so have our attitudes towards health – big pat on the back for us! This isn’t about being the latest trend, it’s just about adapting and listening to our bodies. What we needed to be doing all along!

Pushing our bodies beyond its limits, without supplying it with sufficient energy is old news and we now know, is not going to get you closer to your goals. In fact, at a certain point it actually starts to work against you especially if you’re running on stress hormones for energy. In that case you start to stagnate and head towards total exhaustion and low-grade inflammation.

The year has well and truly started with a bang (some good, some not so good…) and more than ever, importantly to try set some goals towards a more sustainable life. Sustainability is something we can get the whole friends and family involved with and set us up with habits that will last a lifetime. And you don’t need to be a tie die loving, chicken coop keeping human to do any of it!

There is so much that we cannot control, what we can do is direct our energy into doing what we can in our immediate environment and within our power to reduce waste and plastic use as our planet needs us more than ever!

The best part about it is every one person pitching in even a little bit has a collective positive impact, what’s the saying? “The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it”, and we don’t need a handful of people to be perfect at it, we need millions of people doing something about it imperfectly.
