Last week we were lucky enough to hold tbe NSW Central Zone Clay Target Compak Championships, with 26 shooters enjoying a perfect winters day.

The day was a great success and would not have been possible with out the huge generosity of Bathurst Member Tony Spina who donated the cash prizes. Tony is currently recovering from some pretty serious surgery, and from all your friends at the club, get better soon and get back to shooting. Please send Tony your good thoughts.

Don't Forget, we have our English sporting from 11am tomorrow. As a novelty event, this is open to all licenced competent shooters. $1000 cash on the line for the first shooter to shoot the full 50 straight.

Practise on tomorrow from 12pm. We will also be on site late to set the fields for the zone compak sporting that we will be holding on Sunday. 9am first shots and gates from 8am. BBQ lunch included in your noms. Zone positions on the line, medals, sashes and a shot load of cash. Minimum $500 for high gun. Ladies, Veterans and Juniors categories paid also. Weather looks spot on, top of 21, sunny and very light winds...

Nothing on at the Club this weekend, but we are furiously preparing for the zone compak shoot on the 30th. With a huge thanks to Tony Spina, for very generous donation, we have been able to offer some significantly increased prizes. High gun now a minimum $500! 1st,2nd,3rd in all grades, Ladies, Veterans and Juniors (who shoot for free!), BBQ lunch, great targets... sounds perfect!

The weather this Sunday looks pretty atrocious (90% chance of rain and top of 10 degrees 🥶) , so I'm wimping out of holding the DTL shoot this month, and i know you are thanking me🤣.

Last weekend Mudgee Sporting Clays hosted their 2 day shoot including one leg of the state team selection. 6 or so Bathurst members where on site for atleast one day and the results were pretty impressive.

A huge shout out to Pete and Mick for sticking their collective hands up to have a go at running the DTL comp last week. While the weather was less than tropical, a few brave souls fronted and had a crack. It does buoy the spirts to see guys stepping up and having a go! Thanks guys.

While I was away, I went and had a look at Mackay & Sarina Clay Target Club who also shoot on the 2nd Sunday. Had a great chat with a few of the guys and they were very welcoming. I did "threaten" that I will be back.

This Sundays S***t comp is set to be a cracker with some beautiful winters weather forcasted. Cold start and warm days... perfect shooting days...
