Great to look through this season's photos. Great numbers. Thank you to Matt and Mark for making Hexagon Rugby possible, and thank you to all players for making it a monthly event you don't want to miss.

What a weekend full of laughs, camaraderie, golf, and plenty of Over 35s Rugby. Our annual Hexagon Rugby tour to the Bathurst Old Boys Rugby gala day was a huge success, with a group of 14 from Hills joining our Hexagon mates to field two teams with a squad of over 50.

This fantastic event at Bathurst continues to grow in attendance; this year, over 300 players congregated for what rugby is all about: playing with your mates, making new mates, and, of course, some big hits, sizzling backline moves, and plenty of laughs and banter throughout the weekend.

This event officially wraps up our 2026 season. Thank you to our players and supporters for a fantastic season. See you all in 2027, and reach out if you're keen to join us.

One week to go!

ONLY 8 DAYS TO GO!

As the countdown slides down, the feeling of restlessness and anticipation grows in the wind as it gently blows across the rugby field. The sound of distant whistle blowing (not the ones trying to uncover a conspiracy) and thudding feet and a sound that's like mince meat hitting the floor foggily sits in the back of your mind.

AND THEN

You wake up and realise its just a week to go to the Bathurst Rugby Fest. So get the pets into the kennels, get the kids to the grandparents, go fill the tank on Tuesday (its usually cheaper that day) wash and polish your footy gear, call in sick Friday and start making your way here. We cant wait to Host uall!!

Due to a few unforeseen circumstances, we had to postpone our Gala Night. However, all is not lost! We're now putting on a bigger and better Gala Day, combining our event with the Eastwood Charcoals over 35's Rugby Union Club’s cancelled fixtures.

We're calling on all Hornsby Over 35s, Hexagon Rugby, Golden Oldies clubs, and old rugby mates to dust off the boots and join us for a run around the paddock. Let's make it a cracking day of friendship, fun, and a bit of ch*****ne rugby.

📅 Sunday 23rd August

⏰ Arrive 12:00pm for a 12:30pm-ish kick-off

📍 Mark Taylor Oval

🌭 BBQ and drinks provided

Bring along your teammates, partners, family and friends and help us celebrate everything that's great about Golden Oldies rugby.

If you're keen to play send me a message.

Can all clubs attending also let us know team numbers, ASAP for game set up and catering.

And that's a wrap on Hexagon Rugby season 4! Congratulations to Wahroonga Tigers Rugby Club for hosting a fantastic night. With 13 Hills players taking the field last night, partnering with Withered Oaks Rugby Club, it was a stellar display of rugby. Great tackling, flick passes, cut-out balls, and a few overhead passes topped off a great night.

Thank you to all of our players, new and old, for taking the field throughout the year. Mateship, making new mates, all united through the love of rugby.

Special thanks to Mark and Matt of Hexagon Rugby and to all teams who make this unique community so much fun to be part of.

Good luck to our lads backing up for Hills Rugby - Seniors today in the Grand Final.

See you in Bathurst. Enjoy the off-season.
