📣 GRNA Weather Update – Games Cancelled Today 🌧️

Unfortunately, due to the wet weather and unsafe court conditions, all games and the umpiring training are cancelled today.

This round will not be rescheduled and will be excluded from the season draw. We’ll return next week with Round 16 played as currently scheduled.

Stay safe and enjoy a dry and restful Saturday! ☔

Umpires are an essential part of the game - and they’re learning too. A little respect and encouragement from the sidelines can go a long way. Let’s role model the kind of support we want our tamariki to grow up with.

A reminder to be kind and respectful to our umpires, they are giving up their time and doing a job that isn't easy, so that we get to play. So this week let's aim for an extra thankyou / kind word to show our appreciation ☺️

The final whistle’s gone, but what happens next still matters. Post-game conversations can shape a young player’s confidence, motivation and love for the sport. Let’s make sure they leave the court feeling seen, supported and proud of their effort.

A good reminder of the importance of positive post game conversations with your team and family. Post-game conversations can shape a young player’s confidence, motivation and love for the sport. Let’s make sure they leave the court feeling seen, supported and proud of their effort ❤️

Here’s today's tip for dealing with difficult spectators - Develop a ‘Code of Conduct’

19/05/2025

Today’s tip for dealing with difficult spectators is to harness their passion for good by getting them to help with a task or contribute to the club.

19/05/2025

Here’s our fourth tip for dealing with difficult spectators – be the change you’re looking for by modelling the behaviours you want to see from other spectators.

19/05/2025

Our fifth and final tip for dealing with difficult spectators is to deal with issues promptly and discreetly. Good luck this weekend! We hope it’s positive and fun experience for everyone involved.
