Gooden Reserve Netball Association We're a local community netball competition in the Hills District. We are committed to fostering a safe, welcoming environment for all skill levels.

Gooden Reserve Netball Association is a local community competition held on Saturday afternoons at Gooden Reserve in Baulkham Hills. We are committed to maintaining a low cost social competition that has a family friendly, safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where girls of all skill levels can participate. Competition games begin from end March/early April and continue until end August each season. Games are played on Saturdays commencing 12 noon until 4pm. We usually play 1st Saturday in school holidays and then not middle and last Saturdays during school holidays. We are registered to accept Service NSW Active Kids vouchers to cover cost of registration fees for school-enrolled children. Our competition is currently made up of two local clubs - St Matthew's Uniting Netball Club and Northmead Uniting Netball Club. For inquiries to the clubs, please contact:

Our Divisions are:
Fun Net - Kindergarten and Year 1 at school
Sub Juniors - Years 2 and 3
Juniors - Years 4 and 5
Inters - Years 6 and 7
YPs - Years 8 to 12
Opens - Women who are Post High School, 18 years and older

We also accept boys up to 12 years of age.

Whether you’re a player, parent or carer, coach, manager, umpire or volunteer, your feedback matters. From this year’s semi-finals to school holiday games, Gala Day and communication, this is your chance to help shape next season.

🏆 2026 GRAND FINAL RESULTS 🏆

What a fantastic way to finally wrap up our 2026 winter season! 💜🤍 After Mother Nature made us wait a little longer than planned, our Grand Finalists hit the courts yesterday and gave us six brilliant games to finish the year.

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to our 2026 Premiers and to every team who earned their place in a Grand Final! 👏

There were some fantastic performances across the courts, including a nail-biting Youth League match that went right down to the wire!

A huge thank you to our umpires, scorers, committee members, coaches, managers and volunteers who helped the day run smoothly, and to all the family, friends and supporters who came along to cheer on our teams. 💜

Most importantly, thank you to every player who took the court with GRNA this season. Whether you finished with a premiership medal, made finals, or simply turned up each week to play the game you love, you have all helped make another wonderful season at Gooden Reserve.

🎉 GALA DAY IS HERE! 🏐💜

To help everyone make the most of our shorter Gala Day games, rolling substitutions will be allowed TODAY ONLY 🙌

We want teams to be able to keep players involved, share court time around and, most importantly, have as much fun as possible!

A few simple ground rules:

🔹 Substitutions must not interfere with play
🔹 The player coming off must be completely off the court before the new player enters
🔹 Please alert the umpire when a player is coming on
🔹 Make substitutions from the sideline in a safe and sensible place
🔹 Please be reasonable with the number of changes — we don’t want constant swapping disrupting the flow of the game
🔹 Umpires have the final say if a substitution is unsafe or interfering with play
🔹 Above all, use common sense and keep it fair, safe and fun

This is a Gala Day-only variation and does not change our normal competition substitution rules.

Now get those costumes on, bring the team spirit and get ready for an absolutely awesome day of netball, laughs, colour and celebrations! 🎭✨🥳

🏆 GRAND FINAL DAY – TOMORROW! 🏆

The big day is almost here! We’re looking forward to a fantastic afternoon of netball as we celebrate our 2026 Grand Finalists and some brilliant performances across the season. 💜

Everyone is welcome to come down to the courts and support our grand finalists in their games!

A few important reminders for all teams:

⏰ Grand Final games commence from 12:00pm, so please double-check your game time and don’t rely on our usual Saturday timeslots!

👕 Full correct uniform is required for all players.

✍️ All players must be signed on before taking the court. Please arrive with plenty of time to get organised, warm up and be ready to play when the starting buzzer sounds.

💅 Please make sure nails are short and all jewellery is removed before taking the court.

🔄 Normal substitution/player eligibility rules apply and must be followed.

🟢 Respect for our umpires is paramount. Decisions are to be accepted respectfully and back chat or disrespectful behaviour towards umpires will not be tolerated.

👏 Spectators – we need you too! Please cheer loudly and positively, but remember this is a fun community day celebrating our high performing teams. Respectful behaviour towards players, umpires, officials and opposition supporters is expected at all times.

📋 GRNA Committee members will be scoring the Grand Finals, and committee members will also be around throughout the day if any team has a question or concern.

🍭 The canteen will be open with a reduced menu due to the smaller number of games being played.

🏟️ Teams are asked to head straight to the clubhouse following their games for presentations.

Most importantly, enjoy it! Grand Final Day should be a great celebration of the season, so bring the team spirit, support each other and help us make it a fun and positive day for everyone. 🏐🏆💜

🏐 Finals Teams Confirmed! 🏐

With our normal competition rounds now complete, the top four teams in each division have been confirmed.

Congratulations to all our finalists, and thank you to every team for an amazing season! 💜🤍
Finalists are reminded to email any genuine Semi Final or Grand Final timeslot requests to [email protected] by lunchtime tomorrow, Sunday 2 August.

As borrowing or filling in players is not permitted during finals, requests should be limited to circumstances that may genuinely affect a team’s ability to take the court.
All requests will be considered where possible, but umpire availability and competition requirements will take priority, and no request can be guaranteed.

We are aiming to publish the Semi Final draw on Monday.

Good luck to everyone heading into finals—and don’t forget to keep working on those Gala Day outfits! 🎉🏐

This includes the 1:40pm and 3:00pm games.

Due to the courts currently being too wet, all 12:20pm friendly games have been cancelled.

The 1:40pm and 3:00pm games have NOT been cancelled at this stage.

A further assessment of the courts will be made, with a decision regarding the 1:40pm and 3:00pm games expected around 12:30pm.

Please keep an eye on Team App for the next update and do not assume that all games are cancelled.

Tomorrow marks the final round of our regular season, with the top 4 teams in each division to be decided! Good luck to all teams still fighting for a finals position. 💜🤍

If your team believes it may qualify for the Semi Finals and/or Grand Final, or you know you've qualified after your game tomorrow, please email the Draw Convenor by lunchtime on Sunday with any genuine timeslot requests for the finals.

Please note:
✅ Requests should only be for circumstances that would have a significant impact on your team (for example, where a timeslot may result in your team being unable to field enough registered players).

✅ As borrowing or filling-in players is not permitted for Semi Finals or Grand Finals (except in approved exceptional circumstances under the GRNA Substitution Policy), we want to do our best to avoid unnecessary forfeits where possible.

✅ All requests will be carefully considered. However, umpire allocations, court availability and competition requirements will take priority, and no requests can be guaranteed.
