3rd Grade: 34-14 Loss

Big day of hard fought games against Chifley on MND Charity Day.

Full credit to Chifley who played some good rugby all day

Tomorrow we are back at home for our MND Charity Round taking on Chifley Chiefs in 3 Grades on a big day of action

3s will kick off the day at 1pm with teams able to get numbers out for a 3rd Grade for the 1st time this weekend

2nd Grade its 1st v 3rd, 1st Grade its 2nd v 1st and its 2nd v 1st on the Club Championship ladder as well

There are also 2 milestones with Tom Joyce and Jim Pike playing their 250th Games for Hills Rugby

After the days play we invite everyone up to the Hills Club where we will be auctioning off a select number of Jerseys. All Jersey sales will be donated to MND Australia

If you would like to be involved in the Auction or you are unable to make it and would like to find out a way to be involved/purchase one of these jerseys please reach out to the club

It promises to be a great day and we look forward to the Hills Rugby Community coming together again to raise money for a great cause

Charity Round this weekend for MND, along with 2 massive Milestones

James Pike 250 Games

Congratulations to James Pike who will run out on Saturday for his 250th Game for Hills Rugby. Pikey after playing all his juniors for HRC, spent a number of seasons plying his trade out in premier rugby before returning a few years ago to play with his mates at HRC. A talented Half Back who can create chances out of nothing in attack.

Tom Joyce 250 Games

Congratulations to Tom Joyce who will run out for his 250th for Hills Rugby on Saturday. Another Hills Junior, Joycey has played every game for the club and showcased his skills across a number of positions over this year, keep an eye out for him in the number 2 jersey on Saturday

So come on down and support the boys on their milestone days. Pack the Yat with support for them and the charity day

Round 7 Wrap Up

The sun was out and for the first time in while when travelling to McQuade Park there was no rain around

2nd Grade: 78-7 Win
2s ran riot in the 2nd half, after a slow beginning where the game was hard to get into a rhythm. Plenty of long range tries to now create a 4 point gap at the top of the ladder

1st Grade: 64-5 Win
1s after a stop start first half 1st Grade ran out convincing winners to cement their spot in the top 2. Set piece was the back bone of the win as they head into a massive clash this weekend

This weekend we are back at home for our MND Charity Round against Chifley Chiefs in 3 Grades

This Saturday clear you calendars and get you way down to Yattenden and The Hills Club afterwards for Charity Round

If you didn't know already this Saturday is Charity Round and we are wearing a a special Jersey in 1st & 2nd Grade to help raise awareness and money for Motor Neuron Disease Australia

After the day we will be auctioning off some Jerseys at the Hills Club at 6.30pm with all proceeds going to MND Australia

If you are interested in being involved in the Auction or cant make it and would like to get involved, reach out to the club via Facebook or Instagram accounts.

It promises to be a fantastic day supporting a fantastic cause and we would love to see the Hills Rugby community come together as they always to raise some money

Charity Round 2026

Round 11 Saturday 11th July will play host to our Charity Round where the club and the community will be raising money Motor Neurone Disease (MND Australia)

To celebrate and help raise some money for awareness and research, we are very fortunate to have a sponsor that has purchased both grades a special jersey for that will be worn on the day.

The jerseys colours and design are inspired by a mixture of the colours of the Blue of MND Australia, Black of Hills Rugby and Teal inspired by Maxine Jefferies a very prominent club committee member, supporter and friend who lost her battle with MND earlier this year

There will be an auction of a set number of jerseys on the night at 6.30pm at The Hills Club, With all proceeds going straight to MND Australia. As well as collection tins and an online to be able to make a donation to.

We would love to see as many people as possible at the the ground and auction to raise money for such a great cause

Round 7 v Hawkesbury Full Time

1st Grade: 64 - 5 Win
2nd Grade: 78 - 7 Win

Boys produced some nice running rugby to come away with 2 wins

Next week we are at home v Chifley in 2 top of the table clashes on MND Charity Day

Tomorrow we head to Windsor to take on Hawkesbury in our Round 7 wet weather catch up game

The boys after 2 hard fought victories v Merrylands last week will be looking to build again. The boys are wary of a Hawkesbury club that always turns up to play against HRC particularly at home

This weekend we are on the road again playing our Round 7 clash which was washed out v Hawkesbury Valley over at McQuade Park

After a strong performance in both grades v Merrylands last week, the boys will be looking to continue on their form against a Hawkesbury club that is traditionally a very tough opposition for HRC
