The Baxter Soccer Club is excited to announce our Reserves coaches for 2027.

Leading the pack is Mick Surridge, who has shown incredible service over the past 5 seasons as the coach of our Under 18s and then Senior Development Squads. He has been integral to the development of our 16-20 year olds and has seen many of his players make the step to State League football. After a great 2026 season with promotion for his SDS side in the Metropolitan League, Mick takes the next step in his coaching journey taking control of our Reserves.

Assisting him will be on of Baxter’s favourite sons in Steve Smith and Lee Petrucci. Both who have been around football for a very long time and will provide great support to Mick and the young playing group.

We love the make up of this group and cannot wait to see these gentleman get started at the first official session in November.

Congratulations lads, let’s go Baxter 💙🤍

The good news keeps on rolling in.

The Baxter Soccer Club is pleased to announce that Phil Clinch, George Hughes and Harry Liapis will assist new Senior Coach Dave Kuhanez in Season 2027.

Phil is rewarded after fitting in seamlessly to the club in 2026 and is given more responsibility to completely bring his qualities to the coaching team.

George is an integral part of our senior team and our club as a whole and has been for many years, he recommits to helping the team bounce back from our relegation in 2026. Bringing his experience, winning attitude and care for the players to the newly formed coaching setup.

Harry follows his partner in crime from the Reserves in 2026 and will provide vital support to the coaching group, with a focus on bridging the pathway for our younger players into the senior program. rounding out a very Baxter heavy coaching team.

We are excited to see this group in action when preseason officially commences in November.

The Baxter Soccer Club is proud to announce that our next Senior Men’s Coach will be one of our own in Dave Kuhanez.

After close to a decade and a half of coaching senior men’s teams at our club including 9 years in our thirds and the last 4 years in charge of the Reserves, Dave has put himself in a strong position through his hard work and commitment to now be considered for the clubs top position.

Known for his tactical mindset, strong organisational skills, detailed training sessions and well-prepared game plans, Dave has consistently demonstrated his ability to bring a group of young men together and unite them towards a common goal. His dedication and commitment to the club have been unwavering, and we are incredibly proud to be able to provide this opportunity to someone who truly deserves it. Having been an integral part of our club for nearly 20 years, Dave’s knowledge, experience and passion for the club make this a well-deserved opportunity to take the next step in his coaching journey.

We are incredibly excited to see what Dave can achieve as the leader of our club.

We are right behind you Dave, congratulations and well deserved 💙🤍

The Baxter Soccer Club wishes to advise our members and supporters of the clubs decision to part ways with Senior Coach Billy Armour.

Billy joined Baxter in early 2025 and steadied the ship after multiple senior coach changes over the few years prior. We needed someone to stabilise our senior program and that was achieved.

The teams on field results wasn’t what we had hoped for in the back half of 2026, and with the club due to participate in State League 5 in 2027, we thought it would be the best opportunity to start fresh and make some changes to accompany the new era the club is heading in with some significant changes across the board.

The club will be in a position to announce the Senior Men’s program changes in the next few days, and we look forward to getting to work for the 2027 Season.

We want to sincerely thank Billy for his commitment to our club over the past 2 seasons, as-well as the effort, care and consideration he gave his team and the program as a whole. We shared many great memories across 2 seasons with Billy at the helm and wish him well with all his future endeavours.

Thank-You, Billy 💙🤍
