On The Edge Events - Trail Running

We're looking for a group of volunteers to take on one of the most important day checkpoints at the 2026 Scenic Rim Ultra!

Located at the bottom of the iconic Mt Crumpet, this checkpoint is a fantastic spot to be part of the action and help support runners as they tackle one of the toughest sections of the course. This is a daytime checkpoint and is ideal for a running club, community group, sporting club, workplace team or a group of mates looking to get involved.

Access is by 4WD only, making it a true Scenic Rim adventure with plenty of action throughout the day.

Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow's On The Edge Trail Run at Mt Joyce/Wyaralong Dam.

With the extremely low number of registrations, it simply isn't viable for us to run the event, and more importantly, it wouldn't deliver the experience we want to provide for our runners. We pride ourselves on creating quality events with a great atmosphere, and unfortunately we just can't achieve that under the current circumstances.

We completely understand that times are tough. The cost of living continues to rise, family budgets are stretched, and we know many people are having to make difficult choices about where they spend their money.

To those who have registered, thank you for your support. You will receive an email later today outlining the options available to you.

While this isn't the outcome we wanted, we'd rather make this decision now than deliver an event that falls short of the standard we've built our reputation on.
