While everyone else is melting in the January heat, we’ll be heading for cooler air and some seriously cool views on our Snowy Mountains Alpine Adventure — 10–14 January 2027.
Over three days of hiking we’ll wander through beautiful high-country landscapes, cross alpine rivers, explore rugged mountain country, take in some pretty spectacular viewpoints and, of course, make our way to the rooftop of Australia — Mt Kosciuszko. 😍
With comfortable alpine accommodation, meals, transfers and pack-free hiking all taken care of, you just need to bring your day pack and enjoy the adventure.
Bookings close at the end of September, so if you’ve been thinking about joining us, now’s the time.
Come swap the Queensland summer heat for mountain air, big views and a few days exploring somewhere pretty special.

Today was a little different for Y-not Adventure.
Our Maroon Caves hike was an invitational adventure for some of our regular hikers — a little way for us to give back to those who continue to support what we do.
We genuinely love hiking, exploring and sharing beautiful places with people. If we could do it without charging, we would. But running organised hikes responsibly means park permits, insurance and other costs, all with people’s safety at the forefront. We also see those fees as part of supporting and protecting the national parks we’re so lucky to enjoy.
Maroon Caves is a cracking little off-track hike. It may be short, but it’s very easy to get lost. As more people search for the caves, more footpads are being created — and rather than making the route easier, it can actually make it more confusing because not every track leads where you think it does!
We knew these ladies were more than capable. They’re fit, adventurous, have a great attitude and have shown us their skills on plenty of previous hikes.
Most importantly, when another adventure is suggested, they tend to say “Y-not?”
And we’re very glad they do. 💙

It’s easy to forget places like this are right on our doorstep.
Ships Stern is one of those walks that reminds you just how lucky we are to have places like Binna Burra in our backyard.
The track winds through beautiful rainforest before opening out to one of the most impressive lookouts in the Scenic Rim. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down, take a breath and simply enjoy where you are.
If you’ve been thinking about getting back out on the trails, we’d love to have you join us.

Some mornings remind you why getting out of bed long before the sun comes up is worth it.
Today’s sunrise hike to Bare Rock was exactly that.
It was freezing. Fingers were numb, the coffee disappeared quickly, and there were plenty of layers keeping everyone warm while we waited. Then the first light started to spread across the horizon, and suddenly nobody cared how cold it was.
We sat together, watched the world wake up, and soaked in one of the most beautiful sunrises the Scenic Rim has to offer. It’s one of those moments that’s hard to describe. You really have to be there to appreciate it.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us this morning. It was such a great group, and sharing mornings like this with good people is what Y-not Adventure is all about.
If you’ve been thinking about coming along on one of our hikes, we’d love to have you with us. Next up is the Ships Stern: https://secure.netbookings.com.au/tourism/2260/viewtours

Don’t let a few clouds put you off… the best sunrises often come after them.
Join us this Sunday as we hike to Bare Rock and Mt Cordeaux to watch the world wake up from the top of the mountain.
It’s an early start, but I promise it’s worth the alarm. Fresh air, great company, and a sunrise you’ll remember.
