Today has been emotional....

I don't breed many horses... And in fact I don't actually like selling them 🤣🤣🤪
I know right, hubby reminds me that we have an issue there, if I keep breeding.

I take selling very seriously.
And in the past I've made some not so great choices around who would be the right human for the horse.

I have " lost contact" with some, very sad, and I had to buy some back.

But there have been amazing stories too.

And this one is definitely one.

Cedar Glen Nightingale aka Nugget left today on transport to head to her new home, where a very excited new Mum is impatiently awaiting her arrival.

Every horse bred here is raised and looked at as our next superstar.
Same treatment, not one gets more or less.

But when we do decide to sell one, it's usually because I feel they need their very own human.

They will thrive with the one on one, and even more love then they already get.

Not that we have many numbers, but enough.

So nugget is on her way to get exactly that.

She's smart, she's sensitive and she is special.

I know her new Mum will have so much fun with her, and I can rest on some proud breeder moment when she followed me without hesitation into the strange, dark truck, strange horses with her, and a new human responsible for her safety.

She stood there amongst the big Tb's like a pro, calm, patient, just like we had practiced... Well... Without the TB's.

Safe journey Nuggy....

Note to self...
Don't wait 3 years to register your foals 🤣

At around 8 pm last night we welcomed this little guy to the world.
A few days overdue Mum really looked massive and over it yesterday.
She literally just waited for someone to turn the lights off to give birth.
Both are doing great.

Home from " Pre- school" with Ellie and Anthony Murray, I'm stoked to start playing with this lass over the holidays.
Well... I play on the ground, hubby in the saddle 🤣

Welcome to the world Cedar Glen Spinaffects
aka Shane.
Steel Poppy Miss Hepburn x Spinman (Seligman Spin)
This handsome lad was born last Sunday but I was away so only met him early this morning.

Absolutely smitten of course, and credit to his mums temperament already a very friendly and inquisitive fella.

Excited to see him grow up into a very versatile horse.

Edit : Shane has been confirmed by genetic hair testing to be a Palomino 😎😻🥰🦄

Cedar Glen Nala and Cedar Glen Scarlett looking after their humans beautifully.
One certainly doesn't " own" a mare but is lucky enough to be loved by her xx

They say watch out for a Red mare's attitude...
But in this case, it's the smaller, cuter.... bay filly 🤣🤣
Watch this space for Lil Miss Sass....

Both mums are so relaxed and chill, makes handling everyone much easier.

Lucky 'shoofcare # is extremely patient with all the horses.

For Reference:

Chestnut filly : Cedar Glen Roxette
( Steel Poppy Miss Hepburn x Zerox TE)

Bay filly : Cedar Glen Nightingale
( Lanamere Nightmusic x Zerox TE)

Both around 6 months

She has arrived 😍 🙌
In the early hours on Sunday morning Lanamere Nightmusic had a beautiful healthy, also very blingy filly.
Mum was due for her pedicure that day, so Bub got some cuddles and her first handling in the wash bay.
Dad is Zerox TE, owned and bred by Toft Endurance, a successful Endurance horse himself, who has competed overseas, and is a CC Sadaqaa son.
"Nighty" is a Yellow book Endurance mare, who has competed with Paul and Caroline Fitzgerald over many successful years.
I rode Nighty in the Kilkivan State Championship 160km to qualify for my first Quilty in Kilkivan the following year.
Petty special to me to be able to attain some of these wonderful lines, and the absolute divine temperament this mare has.
Welcome to the world "Cedar Glen Nightingale. "
