I would be a lying if I said it was easy - strength training is hard, it is repetitive and in all honesty it can sometimes feel like a chore.
My aim is for people to laugh and lift by 7 am and I use every method under the sun to distract you so you feel like it is fun.
What is harder is doing nothing and not being able to run after your kids or grandkids, take the shopping into the house in one go, and with time losing muscle mass, independence and dealing with the effects of sarcopenia later in life.
Invest in yourself, do the hard work now to make the future easier.
I have opened up 2 more spots in my 6:15am classes- join now and see changes in strength and vitality by Christmas.
On the fence ? This is your sign!

🚨 THE UNIVERSE HAS LEFT YOU ONE SPOT. EACH. 🚨
If you’ve been waiting for a sign to start strength training, this is it. The other signs were probably buried under laundry.

Our 10-week challenge starts Monday 5 October, and there’s one spot left in each class:

🌅 Monday, 6:15 am
🏋️ Wednesday, 11:30 am

You get 45 minutes of strength training, a personalised 10-week program, meal plans and nutrition support. Basically, a whole team of people helping you become stronger while your couch files a formal complaint. 💪🥗🛋️

Come lift things. Put them down. Repeat until your muscles start sending strongly worded emails. Then go about your day feeling smug because you’ve already trained. 😈

Message me to claim a spot before someone else gets in and ruins your toned summer vibe.

🚨 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: I AM LEAVING THE HOUSE 🚨

JOIN ME FOR🚶‍♀️🏃‍♀️🚴‍♀️ ONE FOOT FORWARD THIS OCTOBER 🐕‍🦺🖤

This October, I’m putting one foot forward for the Black Dog black Institute- and I’d love you to join me.

One Foot Forward is a movement challenge supporting better mental health. You can walk, run, cycle, roll, shuffle, power-walk, wobble, or simply move your body through October while pretending you’re the main character in an inspirational sports documentary. 🎬

Choose your own challenge - 40km, 60km, 100km, 150km or your own personal distance and log your kilometres as you go on their free app.

You do not need to be athletic. You do not need expensive activewear. You do not need to understand how Strava works. You merely need a body, a pair of shoes, and a willingness to move approximately forwards. 😂

I’ll be doing this to support the Black Dog Institute and the 1 in 5 Australians who experience mental illness each year. Every kilometre helps raise funds for vital mental health research, education and support.

So please join me. Walk with me, move in your own way, join my team, donate, or share this post with someone who has been saying, “I really should exercise more” since 2019. The challenge is free, the benefits are many.

Together, we can improve our mental health, support an important cause and become absolutely insufferable about our step counts. 💙🐕‍🦺

I know what makes you tick—and occasionally what makes you go, “ick, absolutely not that exercise.” 😂
Your training is personal, your modifications are ready, and I’ll cheer you on while you do things you didn’t think you could do. Possibly while holding a dumbbell and questioning your life choices.

There are 2 spots left in small group next week. Come and join us!

I’m sharing this episode of unPAUSED, where Dr. Mary Claire Haver talks with Dr. Gabrielle Lyon- family physician, founder of the Institute for Muscle-Centric Medicine and author of Forever Strong—about why muscle matters so much for women’s health as we age. Many women are not over fat but under muscled- healthy muscle is the organ of longevity !!!

They discuss muscle’s role in blood sugar regulation, why maintaining muscle takes more than protein alone, and how resistance training supports both physical and brain health through perimenopause and menopause. The discussion digs into why the standard protein recommendation of 60–70 grams a day isn't enough to protect muscle through perimenopause and menopause and why women should aim for closer to 100 grams alongside resistance training, how sedentary muscle lowers your tolerance for carbohydrates before blood sugar and insulin become dysregulated, and the myokines, including BDNF released when muscle contracts that support brain health, metabolism, and long-term independence.

Dr. Lyon’s message is clear: regular strength training and enough protein can help us protect our muscle as we get older. Worth a listen! 💪
