☘️ PERTH SHAMROCKS ARE INTO THE CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL! ☘️
 
A brilliant team performance saw Perth Shamrocks overcome Western Swans on a scoreline of 3-21 (30 points) to 1-19 (22 points) and secure our place in next Saturday’s Championship Final.
A big well done to Western Swans GAA Club for a great game not only yesterday but throughout the entire season 👏🏻.
 
Our defence showed an outstanding work rate throughout, working tirelessly and making it difficult for Western Swans at every opportunity. The midfield battled hard from start to finish, while our forwards were fantastic, taking their chances and producing some excellent scores.
 
There were plenty of highlights, including a superb over-the-shoulder score from Daithí Heffernan, who was also named Clubber Man of the Match, and a brilliant piece of play from Brandon O'Connell who set up Jordan Higgins for a crucial goal.

Perth Shamrocks now move on to the Championship Final, where we will take on Sarsfields next Saturday, 1st August, at RA Cook Reserve time to be confirmed.

WA Senior Hurling League Final ☘️
 
Yesterday, Saturday 11th July, we took on the undefeated Sarsfields, and it was a mighty battle from the first throw-in.
 
At half-time, Perth Shamrocks led by 1-11 to 1-06, but both teams came out after the break and battled fiercely right until the final whistle. At the end of normal time, the scores were level at Perth Shamrocks 1-21 to Sarsfields 2-18, sending the game into extra time causing some nail biting stuff.
 
Both teams put in a tremendous effort, with some beautiful hurling played and showcased across the pitch. When the final whistle was blown, Perth Shamrocks came away with the win:

We are extremely proud of the entire team—from the starting 15 to every substitute who came onto the field including all subs. Everyone dug deep, backed one another and stood up when it mattered most.

A huge thank you to all our family, friends and supporters who came down and created an incredible atmosphere. The noise, encouragement and buzz around the ground helped drive the lads on throughout an unforgettable game.
 
We would also like to congratulate Sarsfields Hurling Perth on their brilliant efforts throughout the league. They produced some outstanding performances all season and should be extremely proud of what they achieved. Saturday’s final was a fiercely fought contest and a brilliant showcase of hurling from both teams.
 
A special shoutout also goes to No. 4 Seán O Loneargáin , who will soon be heading home to Ireland for his wedding. Sean has shown incredible commitment throughout the season, turning up to every training session and giving his all each and every time. He should be very proud of the effort and dedication he has shown both on and off the field. From everyone at Perth Shamrocks, we wish Sean and his partner Edwina O'Donnell all the very best for their wedding and the exciting journey ahead. ☘️💚

WA Hurling League – Round 6 ☘️
 
Yesterday at R.A. Cook Reserve we took on St Gabriel’s, who took away the win, big congratulations to them St Gabriels unfortunately It didn’t go to plan for Perth Shamrocks, with the lads coming up short.
 
The first half was a bit slow from our side. We still kept the scoreboard ticking over and took our chances when they came, but we never really got into our usual rhythm and allowed the game to get away from us in patches.
 
After half-time, the lads came back out with a much better attitude and got to work. The intensity lifted, the work rate improved, and scores started to come as we pushed hard to get ourselves back into the game.
 
Credit to the full panel for sticking at it right through to the final whistle. There are plenty of positives to take from the second-half response, but also plenty to work on as we look to bounce back.

WA Hurling League – Round 5 ☘️

 On Saturday 20th June, we took on Sarsfields Hurling Perth & from the very first throw-in, this was a real battle — a mighty battle, some would say. Both sides brought serious intensity, with contests all over the pitch from the full-back line right through to the full-forward line.
 
The boys showed great character, work rate, and composure throughout the game. Every ball was fought for, every score had to be earned, and the scoreboard reflected the effort and commitment shown by the full panel — from the starting 15 to the substitutes who came on and made their mark.
 
We struck some excellent scores over the bar, worked hard for each other, and kept driving until the final whistle.
 
Strong performances across the field, with Ryan Curley, Josh Considine, and Kieran Walsh leading the way.
 
A serious team effort and another strong step forward as we continue to build week by week.
 
We now have a break this weekend however training continues Tuesday evening at RA Cook Reserve, with all new players always welcome.
