Whilst some of our crews competed locally at yesterday’s Battle on the Barwon, a number of DBV Clubs and members recently competed at the Official IDBF Club Crew World Championships.

Congratulations on representing Victoria with such distinction!

🏁 What a week of racing for Matt with Komodo Dragons 🐉

And what better day to celebrate his achievements than Father’s Day💙

Despite some seriously tough competition, Matt showed incredible consistency and determination, making the Grand Final in every event he raced👏🔥

🏅 7th — Senior B Mixed 500m
🥉 4th — Senior B Open 500m, just 0.05 seconds shy of bronze!
🏅 7th — Senior B Mixed 200m, missing bronze by just 0.77 seconds in a nail-biting finish
🏅 5th — Senior B Open 200m, only 0.27 seconds away from a medal
🏅 7th — Senior B Mixed 2km
🏅 6th — Senior B Open 2km

What an incredible week on the water, and a pretty good way to spend Father’s Day — doing what you love, racing hard and representing Team Komodo 🐉🚣‍♂️🔥

🥇 ANOTHER GOLD MEDAL! 🥇

What a race for our ACP paddlers Cindy, Michelle and Dave, powering their way to gold with clear water and a solid boat run! 💪🐉

And a huge congratulations to Tara and the Melbourne Flames, who battled it out for a thumping 3rd-place finish! 🥉🔥

So much determination, teamwork and fighting spirit on the water. Congratulations everyone! 👏🎉

A huge congratulations to our coach Brendan, who has been paddling with the Gold Coast Dragons at the World Championships! 💪🔥

🏆 Senior B Open 10s 200m – made the Rep charge
🏆 Senior C Mixed 10s 200m – Grand Final
🌏 4th in the World!

And what a finish… missing out on the bronze medal by just 0.005 seconds! 😱🥉
