A few words from Coach Goodesy about the men's team...

"With the loss to Ipswich, our 2026 season has come to a close.

This year has been a huge success for the Beenleigh Buffaloes, both on and off the field. As a team, we showed incredible development, created a distinctive game style and grew our numbers to 60+ registered players.

There were plenty of highlights throughout the season, including an incredible 11-game winning streak and having Harley Hicks finish as the league’s leading goal scorer.

I would like to sincerely thank everyone who was involved in our 2026 season. Every player, coach, committee member, volunteer, supporter and family member has made a difference to our team and our club.

The future is looking very positive, with 90% of our playing group returning, all but one of our coaches returning, and our entire committee returning.

We are excited to continue building on the success of 2026 and take another step forward in 2027.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey."

While the men's season comes to an end, the ladies continue their finals campaign after a great elimination final win against Moorooka. They'll have to take on the Jindalee Jags on their home ground, which should be a great game between two tough teams. Two years in a row the ladies have made a preliminary final, and they are looking to take it one step further. Make sure to get to Jindalee this Saturday (5th September) at 4:45pm as they try to win a spot in the GF!

Buffs wheelchair skipper Kent McKelvie is a QClash winner! It's the Gold Coast Suns second ever series win and their first ever clean sweep, with today's 11.9 (75) to 5.6 (36) victory following last week's 27 point win over the Brisbane Lions.

It was a high-stakes QClash full of passion and relentless action. Kent led the backline with a strong vocal presence, while the rest of the Suns squad put in a massive team effort to clinch the win.

We hope to see his name in the Queensland squad when it's announced soon!

Buffs skipper Kent McKelvie is in the Suns squad for this year's wheelchair QClash! Kent's been a fixture in the rep scene for many years and has been with the Buffs since day of the league competition. Just like the Suns here, wish him well!

Results from the men’s game last night, not a great result but we learn a lot from games like these. 🦬

Regardless of last nights results the men secure themselves a home final next week!

Well done to the lads for finishing in 3rd spot on the ladder, we wish them luck as they head into finals.
