There’s something pretty special about watching a woman discover just how strong she is. 💪

This is Deb working towards bodyweight pull-ups — using less and less assistance, challenging herself, and putting every bit of the work she’s done into action.

And just LOOK at that back. 👀🔥

Those muscles didn’t appear overnight.

They were built rep by rep.
Session by session.
On the days training felt amazing — and on the days it absolutely didn’t.

That’s the thing about getting stronger.

You don’t necessarily notice it happening.

Until the weight that once felt impossible moves.

Until you need less assistance.

Until you catch sight of muscles you’ve earned.

Until one day you suddenly realise:

Wow. I’m strong.

Women belong in the weights room.

We deserve to take up space.
We deserve to lift heavy things.
And we deserve to know what it feels like to trust the strength of our own bodies.

So incredibly proud of you, Deb. ❤️

And we’re not finished yet. 💪

This week I trained with Zane. Lately we've been focused on legs ... but this one took a different turn!

And for me, this session meant a little more than just moving some weights.

I’ve spent some time away from proper strength training, besides basic legs, giving my body the time it needed to heal fully rather than rushing back because I thought I should be training.

That can be a hard lesson when you’re a trainer yourself.

We’re very good at telling other people to listen to their bodies, respect recovery and play the long game.

Taking our own advice? Apparently slightly harder. 😂

But now, at 50+, my goal isn’t to train like the younger version of me.

I want to build a body that is strong, capable and resilient for the decades ahead.

And this week felt like the beginning of that next chapter.

There was something else pretty special about this session too.

I got to train with Zane and see, up close, just how much his own strength, technique and confidence have developed. His progress hasn’t happened overnight. It’s been built through consistency, patience and a frankly ridiculous amount of hard work.

And this time, he was training me. ❤️

Because here’s something I think trainers sometimes forget:

Even trainers benefit from having a trainer.

Someone watching your technique.
Someone choosing the next challenge.
Someone who knows when you have another rep in you.
Someone who can see what you’re capable of when you’re concentrating on simply getting the damn weight up. 😂

This session, I wasn’t the PT.

I was the client.

And I loved it.

So this is me returning to strength training — patiently, intelligently and with absolutely no intention of proving that I can still train like I’m 30.

I’m much more interested in discovering just how strong I can be after 50.

Watch this space. 💪🔥

Early days of seeing whether the Ninja HyperHeat deserves a permanent spot on the KB Fit bench…

I decided to keep the first cooks simple— this one was chicken breast seasoned with Mingle Peri Peri, and pressure cooked, while I got on with the rest of my day.

The result? Tender, juicy, packed with flavour, and perfect for high-protein meal prep.

Over the next few weeks I’ll be putting more functions of the Ninja HyperHeat 9-in-1 to the test, sharing honest reviews, healthy recipes and plenty of nutrition-friendly meal ideas.

A shout-out to and —I’m excited to see what this machine can do!

On Fridays .... we let off steam!

A few of the team got a good lower workout yesterday.... with some Friday spice. We included hip thrusts, elevated reverse diagonal lunges 🔥, RDL's and walking lunges.

Then Zane and I hit the deadlifts, elevated diagonal lunges, ate RDL's and leg extensions for a well 'rounded' lower day.

Happy to report that my glute medius are a tad tender today. Target acquired!

Watching this journey unfold has been something really special 🤍

When Caitlyn told me she was pregnant with baby number two, I asked her one simple question…
“Do you want to document this strength?”

Every session, we came back to the same movement — a simple goblet squat.
Front view. Side view. Week by week.

Not chasing perfection.
Not chasing a “bounce back.”

Just showing up.
Building strength.
Supporting her body as it did something incredible.

And now… that final clip 🥹
Same position. Stronger than ever. With her baby boy in her arms.

This is what training through pregnancy can look like.
Empowered. Supported. Intentional.

If you’re pregnant, trying, or even just thinking about starting your journey into motherhood — you don’t have to stop moving.
In fact… this is one of the most powerful times to begin.

I specialise in supporting women through every stage — from pre-natal to post-natal and beyond.
My goal? To help you feel strong, confident, and capable in your body the entire way through.

If this is your season… I would absolutely love to support you 🤍

Send me a message or come chat to me in the gym — let’s start your journey together.

Training legs with my favourite training buddy on Friday got a little bit tougher.

We started with testing out the strength on the leg press, to test our progress and see what we need to work on there… And finally… It was on those somersault squats.

I have to admit, I have been looking forward to this workout all week, knowing that the legs were going to be wobbly afterwards in the best way. Those some assault squats did not disappoint. After a morning of making sure my clients all had to turn, it was finally my own, along with Zane. These things bring the burn on a whole new level.

Are you looking for a new way to spice up your leg day? Try the Summer salt squat and you will not be disappointed!

Strong legs aren’t built by doing the same thing on repeat… they’re built by being willing to try something new 💪

This morning the girls took on the somersault squat — a variation of the frog squat that seriously lit up the quads and hamstrings 🔥

We found the biggest win came from holding the ball out in front. It helped keep the chest lifted, made the position feel more natural, and allowed everyone to sink deeper with better control.

Movements like this aren’t just “different for the sake of it” — they challenge your body in new ranges, build strength where you’re usually weaker, and help create balanced, powerful legs.

If you want stronger legs, you need more than just standard squats… you need intention, variation, and a willingness to feel a little uncomfortable.

Ladies — if strong, capable legs are your goal, this is your sign to start training like it 👊

That look 👀

Never a dull moment with Ash! 3rd trimester is here and she still going strong .... even if I do have to save her from myself at times.

Seriously though .... being there for my ladies is the BEST!
