Congratulations to Chloe, Lijane, Alexis, Brittany, Jaden, Cora, Felix, Florence and Grayson on a fantastic weekend at the NSW Youth State SC Championships!

There was so much to celebrate, from PBs and top-10 finishes to some very exciting trips to the podium!

Special congratulations to our medallists:

Felix — 4 gold and 1 silver!

🥇 200m Backstroke
🥇 100m Backstroke

Grayson — 1 silver and 2 bronze!
🥈 100m Butterfly
🥉 200m Individual Medley
🥉 200m Freestyle

Jaden — 2 bronze!
🥉 50m Breaststroke
🥉 100m Breaststroke

Alexis finished 6th in the 800m Freestyle and 7th in the 400m Freestyle, while Lijane placed 6th in the 200m Backstroke and 7th in the 100m Backstroke. Florence also had a great meet, with five top-10 finishes!

Our relay team of Chloe, Lijane, Alexis and Florence joined forces in the freestyle and medley relays, taking 2.25 seconds off their medley relay time.

A special thank you to Coach David for his guidance, encouragement and dedication to our swimmers.

Huge congratulations to all 6 of our GSC athletes representing at NSW Senior State SC Championships over the past 3 days at SOPAC. Everyone swam incredibly well resulting in 6 medals, 9 top 10 places and a pb rate of 72%!!

Well done to all our Ginninderra swimmers on their fantastic participation and performances at this weekend’s 2026 ACT Winter Short Course Championships!

It was great to see such a strong level of competition, with plenty of interstate swimmers in the mix. Gold star ⭐️ to all our swimmers for your effort and determination! Special shout out also those who helped out with the fundraising initiative! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

A very special thank you to our amazing GSC parents who helped make the weekend such a success. From volunteering across the many roles needed to run the meet, to contributing raffle prizes and an incredible selection of delicious baked goods—your generosity and support helped deliver another successful hosting and fundraising event for the club. Three cheers to each and everyone of you! 🎉🎉🎉

And a big thank you also to Coaches Jasper and David, who had an exceptionally busy weekend supporting, encouraging and guiding our swimmers through their races. 🙌

Congratulations to Jovern on his selection to the 2026 Swimming NSW Regional Development Squad!

The Regional Development Squad is part of Swimming NSW’s athlete pathway, bringing together promising regional swimmers for a development camp in September, where they’ll work with experienced coaches and support staff while continuing to build their skills both in and out of the pool.

A special shout-out as well to Coach Jasper, who has also been selected as part of the program. It’s fantastic to see both swimmer and coach recognised for their hard work and commitment. 💙💛

Good luck to our GSC team in Melbourne!

Tonight marks the start of the 2026 School Sport Australia Swimming Championships, with the Opening Ceremony kicking off an exciting week at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC).

A huge congratulations to our GSC swimmers proudly representing the ACT:

Anzac, Ivy, Jocelyn, Anika, Isabelle, Steve, Jovern, Jake, Lijane, Alexis, Raymond, Ian and Bayden.

From tomorrow, they’ll take on the best school-aged swimmers from across Australia, representing both the ACT and GSC with pride.

The championships will run from 26–30 July, and you can catch all the action live on SSATV.

Congratulations to GSC swimmer Ava T on being selected as one of Swimming NSW’s 2026 Regional Participation Scholarship – Athlete Recipients!

The scholarship recognises and supports regional swimmers to access more competition and development opportunities at Swimming NSW events at SOPAC — a fantastic achievement for Ava and well deserved! 🏊‍♀️👏

Congratulations also to Bruce Whitby, our Canberra Technical Official scholarship recipient. It’s great to see our region represented both in the pool and among the dedicated officials who help make our sport possible.

Nafanua (Nua) Hamilton is about to make her Commonwealth Games debut representing Samoa in Glasgow! 🇼🇸

Swimming gets underway from 24 July, and it’s going to be a busy week for Nua, with six individual events and two relays on her program!
