Congratulations to Jovern on his selection to the 2026 Swimming NSW Regional Development Squad!

The Regional Development Squad is part of Swimming NSW’s athlete pathway, bringing together promising regional swimmers for a development camp in September, where they’ll work with experienced coaches and support staff while continuing to build their skills both in and out of the pool.

A special shout-out as well to Coach Jasper, who has also been selected as part of the program. It’s fantastic to see both swimmer and coach recognised for their hard work and commitment. 💙💛

Tonight marks the start of the 2026 School Sport Australia Swimming Championships, with the Opening Ceremony kicking off an exciting week at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC).

A huge congratulations to our GSC swimmers proudly representing the ACT:

Anzac, Ivy, Jocelyn, Anika, Isabelle, Steve, Jovern, Jake, Lijane, Alexis, Raymond, Ian and Bayden.

From tomorrow, they’ll take on the best school-aged swimmers from across Australia, representing both the ACT and GSC with pride.

The championships will run from 26–30 July, and you can catch all the action live on SSATV.

Congratulations to GSC swimmer Ava T on being selected as one of Swimming NSW’s 2026 Regional Participation Scholarship – Athlete Recipients!

The scholarship recognises and supports regional swimmers to access more competition and development opportunities at Swimming NSW events at SOPAC — a fantastic achievement for Ava and well deserved! 🏊‍♀️👏

Congratulations also to Bruce Whitby, our Canberra Technical Official scholarship recipient. It’s great to see our region represented both in the pool and among the dedicated officials who help make our sport possible.

Nafanua (Nua) Hamilton is about to make her Commonwealth Games debut representing Samoa in Glasgow! 🇼🇸

Swimming gets underway from 24 July, and it’s going to be a busy week for Nua, with six individual events and two relays on her program!

The results are in… Congratulations to our 26 swimmers who competed last weekend at the 2026 NSW SC Country Championships.
Ginninderra finished 8th overall out of 71 clubs throughout regional NSW and the ACT. (Second overall in the ACT).
This was an incredible result given our smaller number of swimmers who attended the event. Our overall score of 1,961 points was the most on average per swimmer for NSW Country SC in the club’s history.
5 of our swimmers contributed largely to this result-
Grayson Zhang- 353 points (7🥇, 1🥈 & 3🥉)
Anika Watterson- 260 points (4🥈& 3🥉)
Felix Pejcinovic- 245 points (7🥇)
Special shout out to Felix on breaking the boys 11 years 100m backstroke record, in a time of 1:10.13!! 🎉🎉🎉
Prescott Zhao- 210 points (6🥇)
Jovern Loh- 201 points (3🥇, 1 🥈 & 1 🥉)
Congratulations kids and again to all our swimmers, there were lots of exceptional swims, plenty of Pb’s, medals and ribbons.

Over the past 5 days, our very own Swimming Australia accredited Advanced Licence coach, David Murphy, ran a freestyle and backstroke focused clinic at CISAC. The clinic was perfect for newcomers to competitive swimming and/or those looking to improve their strokes. This helps swimmers to accelerate their development and break poor habits. These clinics are usually held each school holidays so please get in touch for more information if you’re interested in your child participating.

What an incredible weekend for Ginninderra Swim Club at the 2026 NSW Veriu Country Short Course Championships!

Our swimmers produced a fantastic set of results, bringing home an outstanding 25 gold 🥇, 13 silver 🥈 and 5 bronze 🥉 medals, along with many other top-10 finishes and personal best performances.

Special congratulations to our multiple gold medallists:
⭐ Felix – 7 Gold
⭐ Grayson – 7 Gold, 1 Silver & 3 Bronze
⭐ Prescott – 6 Gold
⭐ Jovern – 3 Gold, 1 Silver & 1 Bronze
⭐ Gabrielle – 2 Gold & 1 Silver

Other podium performances included:
🥈 Anika – 4 Silver & 3 Bronze
🥈 Jake – 2 Silver
🥈 Anthony, Jaden and Gabrielle each added silver medals, while 🥉Stella also claimed a well-deserved bronze.

There were also numerous top-10 finishes from Courtney, Erin, Madeleine, Lijane, Samuel, Alexis, Brittany, Jocelyn, Florence, Cora and many others, reflecting the depth and strength of our team across all age groups.

Huge congratulations to Gabby on her fantastic performances at the 2026 Australian Swimming Trials!

Competing against some of Australia’s best swimmers, Gabby achieved:
👏 8th in the 200m Freestyle MC
👏 10th in the 400m Freestyle MC

She also recorded two other top 20 finishes and delivered multiple PBs across her events, capping off a terrific meet.

We are incredibly proud of you, Gabby, and look forward to seeing what comes next.
